Bobby Neal Decker, Jr. age 60, of Knox, passed away on Wednesday, May 12, 2021 at his home. Bobby was born February 4, 1961 in Kankakee, Illinois to Bobby Decker Sr. and Margaret Newman Decker.
He married his high school sweetheart, Lana Keiser on September 10, 1983. They built a wonderful life together and had three children. Bobby was a truck driver for 30 years and it was a great passion of his. He loved being behind the big wheel pulling a heavy load, until he wasn’t able anymore. He was a hard worker and provider for his family. Bobby was blessed with many friends, most considered family to him. He loved spending time in his yard and bird watching. He was an animal lover and adored his dog, Millie Girl. He was blessed with seven grandchildren, who were his heart. He loved them dearly and they brought so much joy to him.
In his final days, Bobby was surrounded with love from friends and family sharing some of their special memories and stories of him. He passed peacefully in his home with his dear son-in-law, Brandon and his sister, Kandi by his side. He loved them both so much.
He is survived by his loving wife and caregiver of 38 years, Lana, his daughters Brittany Reiss (Brandon) and Bethany Branscom, both of Knox, and a son, Jacob Decker of Plymouth, and two sisters, Kandi Forest (Ray) of Kewanna and Judy Lemarr (David) of North Judson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bobby and Margaret Decker, brothers, Danny and Jimmy Decker, sisters Debra Decker and Linda Howard, and his brother-in-law, Enos Howard.
Funeral services will be Monday, May 17, 2021 at 2pm (CT), with visitation two hours prior to services at M.C. Smith Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Eagle Creek Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to his wife, Lana.
