Dereatha Ann (Reed) Weinberg

Dereatha Ann (Reed) Weinberg, 85 of Winamac, Indiana and formerly of the North Judson community passed away on March 26, 2025, at 5:58 a.m. at Pulaski Health Care, Winamac, Indiana. On September 22, 1939, in Salyersville, Kentucky she was born to Arba “Arbie” Reed and Tressie Lou (LeMaster) Reed. She’s been in the North Judson community all her life.

In 1958 she married Joe Weinberg and together they shared the next 41 years before his passing in 1999.Dereatha was a housewife/Homemaker and she and her husband owned and operated Joey’s Wallpaper for many years.

Dereatha survived by her Daughters – Debra Ann Hackman and husband Doug of Bloomington, Indiana; Elizabeth Ann Duke and husband Victor of Bourbon, Indiana; and Rebecca Ann Leffert and husband Robert of Grovertown, Indiana

Son – William David Weinberg of Knox, Indiana

15 Grandchildren & 12 Great Grandchildren

Sisters – Paulette Taylor and husband Jerry of Georgia; and Louise Timm and husband Dwight of North Judson, Indiana

Brother – Clayton (Jr) Reed and wife Kim of Hamlet, Indiana

She is preceded in death by her Parents, Husband, Sons – Joseph Daniel Weinberg, Step-Daughter – Linda Sue Ono, Step-Son – Jerome Marvin Weinberg, Sisters – Betty Jordan and Mildred Byer, and Brother – James Reed

Friends may visit with the family on Monday March 31, 2025, from 12 p.m. – 1 p.m. EST at the Earl-Grossman Funeral Home, 208 N. Michigan St., Argos, Indiana. Funeral Services will follow at 1:00 p.m. EST at the funeral home with Rev. Paul Whitworth of Faith Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Round Lake Cemetery, Knox, Indiana.
