Dr. Dennis Dalphond

Dennis W. Dalphond, MD, was born February 20, 1953, in West Lock, Alberta, Canada to the late Rodger and Jeanette Dalphond. He had two brothers, the late Kenneth (Becci) Dalphond, and Larry (Annette) Dalphond, and three sisters, Sheila Dalphond, Linda (Lee) Tracey, and Louise (Tony) Gomes.

Dennis married Margaret Pacilio of North Judson, IN on December 11, 1994, in North Judson, IN. They have three children, Jason (Stephanie) Schreyer of Apollo Beach, FL, Sara (Josh) Jungels of Denver, CO, and Nicholas (Margaret) Schreyer of West Lafayette, IN. They also have six grandchildren, William, Gianna, Ella, Matthew, Olivia, and Benjamin.

Dr. Dalphond, well known as “Doc,” was a family medicine physician in the town of North Judson for 40 years, an occupation he dearly loved caring for his community. Dr. Dalphond had the heart of a true small-town physician, treating and caring for his patients with the utmost compassion, as they were all his close, personal friends. In his tenure, Dr. Dalphond delivered almost 2,000 babies in Starke County. He also founded a passion project in 2016 restoring the Pioneer Cemetery Terrace Wall to preserve the beautification of his beloved town. In his free time, you could find Dennis playing golf and making holes-in-one at Chesapeake Run Golf Course, spending time on his motorcycle, being “Papa” and playing with his six grandchildren, or enjoying the beautiful nature of his homeland in the Canadian Rockies with his wife. His favorite place to visit was Mount Edith Cavell in Jasper National Park in Alberta, CA. To know him was to love his big, bright, and energetic personality.

Friends and family may visit from 3 – 7 PM CT on Friday, December 29, 2023, at the O’Donnell Funeral Home, Inc., North Judson, IN. Funeral Service will be at 11 AM CT, Saturday, December 30, 2023, at O’Donnell Funeral Home, Inc., North Judson, IN. Burial will be in Saint Jacob Cemetery. In place of flowers, contributions may be made to the Pioneer Transformation Fund, Kids Closet Ministry, and the Starke County Youth Club.
