Janice “Jan” Laloni (Miller) Archer, of Knox, passed away on December 22, 2019 due to complications from diabetes and heart disease.
Janice was born in LaPorte, Indiana to Walter and Loraine Miller on January 8th, 1950. She was a proud graduate of Knox High School Class of 1968. She worked as an EMT for Starke County EMS for many years.
She was preceded in death by her parents Loraine and Walter, many family members and lifelong friends.
Janice is survived by her daughter Angie (Archer) Garner, Son in Law James Garner and her grandchildren James, Hannah, Donovan and Camden.
Janice loved working as an EMT and losing the ability to work made her last years on earth difficult for her. She never learned a new hobby and refused to do what she called “old lady stuff”. She spent her better days surfing the internet and researching whatever topic interested her at the time.
Memorials may be given to Starke County Youth Club or the donor of their choice.
The family and friends of Janice wishes to extend our sincere thanks to the staff at Golden Living Center who helped make the last few years possible for her to stay close to home.
Janice’s passion for medicine was to be continued after death.
At Janice’s request, her body was to be donated to science. In keeping with the wishes of Janice, there will be no funeral services. Cremation will follow and a graveside service at a later date.
