Jerry L. Richardson Sr., age 81, of Knox, passed away Saturday, January 16, 2021. Jerry was born in Campbell County, TN on September 21, 1939 to Carl N. Richardson and Anna-Mae Moffett Richardson, both deceased.
After graduating high school in 1958 he joined the U.S. Army where he served as a medic in Germany. After being discharged from the Army he worked for the Ford Motor Company until retirement. On December 15, 1962 he married Nancy Lowrance, she survives.
Also surviving are his seven children, Melody Mullins (Rickey) of Knox, Melinda Stanley of Peru, IN, Jerry Richardson Jr. (Katherine Watson) of Valparaiso, Darrell Richardson (Kristina Greer) of Knox, Michelle Davenport (Richard) of Valparaiso, Eric Richardson of Knox, and Amber Mullins (Jason) of Valparaiso, a brother, Dennis Richardson of Portage, In, two sisters, Wilma Lawson (Leon) of Tennessee and Joyce Wilson (George) of Tennessee, twenty-two grandchildren, Rachel Moore, Stephanie Williams, Ashleigh Long, Robert Stanley, Christian Stanley, Kasandra Richardson, Katelyn Richardson, Cassidy Richardson, Alexis Richardson, Kaiden Richardson, Kendra Richardson, Ken Showalter, Jacob Showalter, Michael Showalter, Kobe Davenport, Sophia Davenport, Hayden Rogers, Brandon Richardson, Noah Richardson, Richard Jason Mullins Jr., Devon Thomas Mullins, and Cooper Mullins, and thirteen great-grandchildren, Julian Williams, Jayden Moore, Janessa Moore, Marcus Lenker, Liam Long, Logan Stanley, Zoey Stanley, Aaron James, Mason Showalter, Mackinlee Showalter, Maddox Showalter, Amelia Showalter, and Hadley Showalter.
He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Samantha Stanley, great grandchild Jasper Lenker and two sisters, Emma Sue Adcock and Carolyn Kolz.
A visitation will take place Wednesday, January 20, 2021 from 4-8pm (CT) at the Calvary Baptist Church in North Judson. Funeral services will be Thursday, January 21, 2021 at 2pm (CT) at the Calvary Baptist Church in North Judson. Burial will follow at Round Lake Cemetery. M.C. Smith Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
