Joie Adele Grenner, age 19 of Knox, passed away surrounded by her family on Wednesday, July 21, 2021.
Joie was born November 5, 2001 in Valparaiso, Indiana. She had been attending her first year of pre-nursing school at IUPUI. She was a very active and loved volleyball, tennis and especially loved Kayaking. Those who knew her remember her as being very smart, strong-willed and goal oriented. She was a member of the Church of the Heartland and would want to be remembered as a person with a strong faith in God. She was a truly selfless person who touched all who met her.
She is survived by her parents, Edward and Rochelle Grenner of Knox, a brother, Jack Grenner of Knox, and her maternal grandparents, Robert and Carrie Fritz of Winamac. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Richard and Rachel Grenner.
Visitation will be held Friday, July 23, 2021 from 4-8pm (CT) at the Church of the Heartland, 6020 S. 300 E., Knox, Indiana (at the corner of SR 10 and 300 East). Funeral services will be Saturday, July 24, 2021 at 12 noon (CT), with visitation two hours prior to services at the Church of the Heartland. Burial will follow at Round Lake Cemetery. M.C. Smith Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
