Kevin W. Taulbee

Kevin W. Taulbee, 58, of Monticello, Indiana, died at 2:22 a.m. on Monday, May 13, 2024, at the IU Health Arnett Hospital of Lafayette, Indiana.

Kevin was born on Monday, October 4, 1965, in Knox, Indiana to James and Emojean (Cole) Taulbee. He graduated from Knox High School where he was a basketball star and continued playing for Oklahoma State University. There he grew to find his calling as a husband on Tuesday, September 9, 2003, in Las Vegas, Nevada to Renee Perry and together celebrated 20 years of utter and complete devotion through the best time to the struggling fights of diabetes. He was a Semi Truck Driver most all of his life, driving to and from California once a week for many years. Kevin had a love for basketball, Betty Boop, fishing, playing bass guitar and spending time with family and friends. He also enjoyed playing darts and golf on his phone.

Kevin and Renee have five daughters: Julie L. (Dustin Ramsey) Peterson, Autumn L. (William) Ortiz, Ashley N. (John Jackson) Taulbee, LaTasha Dehne and Natalie (Kenneth) Ballard. Kevin was a father, friend and most importantly a GRANDPA / PAPA to 11 amazing, beautiful grandchildren; Landon and Blaire, Ava, Cheo, Jack, Charlie, Carter, Carsyn, Kevin, Knox and Miah. Also surviving is brother, Howard (Becky) Taulbee, sisters Danielle (Chad) Haddix, Pamela (Adam) Messer and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, James “Cook” Taulbee, nephew Tyler Taulbee and stepson Justin Whitaker.

A gathering of family and friends will be from 3:00 p.m. until the time of service at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 19, 2024, at the Deibels Funeral Home of Monticello, Indiana.

A Celebration of life service will be at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 19, 2024, at the Deibels Funeral Home of Monticello, Indiana with Mike Thomas officiating.
