Margaret J. “Peg” Neuberg, age 75, of South Carolina, formerly of Knox, Indiana passed away February 4, 2023. Peg was born on February 18, 1947, in Chicago, Illinois to Lawrence and Eleanora.
Peg was married to her husband, Richard for 57 years, having 7 children: Richard, Lawrence, Raymond, Rusell, Robert, Lorrie and Andrew. Peg had multiple careers throughout her life, but is probably best remembered for her 15 years as co-proprietor of “The Family Café” located in downtown Knox, Indiana. Peg was a philanthropist and a staple of Starke County. Peg believed in “Supporting the community that supports us” she gave to multiple charities including: Hospice of Starke County, Starke County Youth Club, Starke County Soccer League, Knox Food Pantry, Community Services, multiple churches and city functions, too many to really list.
Visitation to be held at M.C. Smith Funeral Home, Saturday, February 18, 9am-1pm with services immediately following. In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations to be made to Starke County Hospice in honor of Margaret Neuberg. Arrangements were made by M.C. Smith Funeral Home.
