Funeral services for Sandra Kay Music, 73, of Knox, will be Saturday, May 6 at 11 a.m. CT at the Knox United Methodist Church with visitation there one hour prior to services. Graveside services for Kathleen June (Honegger) Manion, 84, formerly of Monticello, will be Thursday, May 4 at 2 p.m. ET at the Roseland Cemetery in Francesville. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or to St. James Salem United Church of Christ. Arrangements are being handled by the Frain Mortuary Querry-Ulbricht Chapel in Francesville.

Elizabeth J. “Betty” Thompson

Memorial services for Elizabeth J. “Betty” Thompson, 82, of Winamac, will be Saturday, June 10 at the Church of Christ in Itasca, Illinois. Memorial Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or Gentiva Hospice.
Arrangements are being handled by the Frain Mortuary in Winamac.

Funeral services for Goldie M. Singleton, 80, of Knox, will be Wednesday, May 3 at 2 p.m. CT at the Rannells Funeral Home, Hamlet Chapel, with visitation there from noon until the time of services. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to be made to Rannells Funeral Home to assist with the final expenses of this tragic loss.

Funeral services for Jamie Marie Crawford, 42, of Winamac, will be Monday, May 1 at 11 a.m. ET at the Frain Mortuary in Winamac, with visitation there Sunday, April 30 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. ET and one hour prior to services. Memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home to assist the family with final expenses.

Anthony Paul “Tony” Banks

Anthony Paul “Tony” Banks passed away on Sunday, March 5, 2023. He was 47 years old. Born in Knox, IN, on September 4, 1975, he was the youngest, with five siblings, born to the late Eugene Banks and the late Juanita (Salyer) Philpot. Tony was a friend to all who ever met him. He had a smile that was contagious for anyone near him. He will be dearly missed.

Donald E. Heims

Funeral services for Donald E. Heims, 81, of Winamac, will be Monday, April 24 at 2 p.m. ET at the Frain Mortuary in Winamac, with visitation there from noon ET until the time of services. The VFW and American Legion will conduct military graveside services.
Memorial contributions may be made to First Christian Church Guidance Nursery School in Winamac.

Linda Kay Wilson

Linda Kay Wilson, 70, of Winamac, IN, passed away on Thursday, April 20, 2023 on a warm spring day at her home by the creek. She was born on December 22, 1952 in Rensselaer, IN to the late Robert Henry and Marolyn Elaine [Christian] Keiper. Linda graduated from Winamac High School in 1970. On September 16, 1972, she married William Wesley Wilson in Winamac. Several years later, she graduated from Knox Beauty College. Linda owned and operated Heads Up Beauty Salon for a few years. She worked at Sander’s for many years and retired as a manager 9 years ago.

Dr. Georgette Eberling Samuelson

Dr. Georgette Eberling Samuelson passed away at St. Joseph Medical Center on Saturday April 15, 2023. She was born July 27, 1948, to Alfred and Beatrice Eberling in Staten Island, New York. She knew she wanted to be a veterinarian at an early age and would go to the Staten Island Zoo where she met and was encouraged by their female veterinarian. That encouraged her to believe in the power of women to accomplish anything. In line with this strong spirit, she decided to pursue a degree in veterinary medicine at a time when it was a male dominated field. She graduated with her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 1973 from Michigan State University as one of only a handful of women in the class.

Amanda Minix

Amanda Minix, of Hamlet, IN, passed away unexpectedly on April 13, 2023. She was only 42 years old. Our family is devastated and shocked by this loss.

Amanda was born on August 26, 1980 in Laporte, IN to parents Clayton and Brenda Minix.  She worked at Weirs in Plymouth, IN and loved her job and co-workers.  Her greatest accomplishment was her son, Jacob Cornett.  She enjoyed nothing more than spending time with her son.
