Graveside services for Caroline R. Boos Johnson, 87, of Birmingham, AL, formerly of Lake Bruce, IN, will be Tuesday, April 27 at 1 p.m. ET at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery at Lake Bruce. John C. Keller

John C. Keller, 81, of Winamac passed away on Friday, April 16, 2021 at his home. Born on November 5, 1939 in Monterey, he was the son of the late Clem and Marjorie (Prendergast) Keller. He was a 1958 Monterey High School graduate. On September 21, 1989, he married Colleen G. Foust, she survives. John owned and operated the Keller Advisory Group in Winamac for 35+ years. Throughout his life, John enjoyed being outdoors, gardening, playing cards, especially Euchre, and spending time with family and friends.  He was a strong advocate of No Child Should Go Hungry in a Farming Community.

Clara Schacht

Clara Schacht, age 77, of North Judson, passed away Thursday, April 15, 2021. Clara was born October 29, 1943 in Knox, to Lawrence and Rosie (Risner) Queer, both deceased. She loved spending time with her grandkids, cooking for the family holidays, taking vacations, crocheting and quilting. She was an active member of St. Peter Lutheran Church in North Judson and loved attending bible study. She had driven a school bus for the North Judson-San Pierre Schools for nearly 30 years and was the Wayne Township Trustee for 20 years. John L. Fletcher

John L. Fletcher, age 70, of Knox, passed away Friday, April 16, 2021. John was born February 1, 1951 in Knox to Robert Bruce Fletcher and Sarah “Sally” Cowen Fletcher. He was a truck driver having retired from Yellow-Roadway Freight. He contributed to the community through his work on the Knox Athletic Boosters and the Knox Park Board. Kenneth W. Whiles

Kenneth W. Whiles, age 81, of Knox, passed away Saturday, November 21, 2020. Kenneth was born October 18, 1939 in Crawfordsville, Indiana to Kenneth and Lucille Perry Whiles, both deceased. Kenneth had earned a Masters of Divinity and had pastored several churches, including the First Christian Church in Knox, before settling into his career as co-owner of Starke County Abstract.

James H. “Cricket” McIntire, Jr., age 68, of Knox, passed away Thursday, January 21, 2021. He was born April 5, 1952 in Knox, to James H. McIntire, Sr. and Etta Jane King McIntire, both deceased. He had done many things for work throughout his life, but most recently he owned and operated Cricket’s Sea Critters. He loved to travel to warm places, especially the Caribbean, watching old western movies, and never missed any of the grandkids activities at the school, especially sports activities.

Michael Dale Ledbetter, age 46, of Knox, passed away Thursday, March 25, 2021.

Dale was born September 28, 1974 in Knox, Indiana to Michael and Patricia Ledbetter. He is survived by his wife, Jamie Ledbetter of Rochester, Indiana, his mother, Patricia Andrews (Kerry) of Knox, two daughters, Torey Ledbetter of Kokomo, Indiana and Rieley Ledbetter of Knox, and a granddaughter, Aaliyah Fawley of Kokomo, Indiana.

A graveside service will take place Monday, March 29, 2021 at 1:00pm (Central) at Crown Hill Cemetery in Knox. M.C. Smith Funeral Home is handling arrangements.

Josephine Helene Majchrzak Pitts

Josephine Helene Majchrzak Pitts, on this day of March 26th of 2021 at 1:44am, she has passed away from this life and is now walking happily once again with angels. She has left behind many loved ones including her husband, Ron Pitts, her children, Sherri Finnegan, Michelle Ice, Lori McCay, Rhonda Noah, Susie Ake, Eric Wolzen, Rory Wolzen, Christopher Wolzen, Adam Wolzen, Ronnie Ray Pitts and John A. Pitts, sisters, Joan Will (John) and Joyce Garab, and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is graciously greeted with open arms by Roman and Tammy Finnegan, her two children who preceded her in death, as well as, her parents Roman J. and Pauline Majchrzak and her sister, Jean Jurkiewicz.
