Elvira E. “Vera” Connolly, age 94, died on July 29, 2020 at Amita Hospital in LaGrange, Illinois due to complications from pulmonary fibrosis. Elvira was born on October 5, 1925 to Ernest and Waldena “Bonnie” (Scharfenberg) Schwanz in Truman, Minnesota, where she grew up. She later moved to Chicago, where she married , raised her children, and worked for the family business, retiring as a registered nurse in the Warrenville, Illinois area.

JC Minix, Age 86, passed away Friday, July 17, 2020 in his home surrounded by loved ones. JC was born in Carver, Kentucky on April 4, 1934 to Langley and Francis Minix. JC was a very strong out going, hard working man that loved his children and his family. Nothing meant more to him. He married Joyce Louise Campbell in June of 1952 and had 5 boys and 2 girls together. After Joyce passed away, he married Nila Wilcox in October of 2002. He loved family gatherings, singing and playing guitar. He and Nila loved music and dancing together. He loved working in their garden, trips to Kentucky and worshiping the Lord. He loved to read his Bible and listening to Shepherd Chapel.

Shirley Liedtky, 75 of North Judson, In., passed away peacefully in her home on July 13th, 2020 after a 5 year battle with Alzheimers. Her parents were Leslie and Janie Barnett. She was in the Home Extension Club for many years. She is survived by her husband Thomas of 56 1/2 years of marriage. Her son Tommy Liedtky of Louisiana. Daughter Lisa (Shawn) Minix of North Judson, grandsons Joshua Tyler Minix of Knox, Austin Minix of South Bend and Kanyon Riley Minix of North Judson. Special loved ones Wendy and Nate Ellis -as well as their children Jade, Molli, and Jordan – all of Oklahoma. Visitation will be Thursday July 16th at 11:00 A.M Central time.
