Bonnie Stella Ann Galen

Bonnie Stella Ann Galen,75, passed away in the early morning of Friday, May 3, 2019.

Born in Chicago on June 19, 1943 to James and Loretta (Arnswald) Alexa, Bonnie has been a Knox resident for greater than 10 years. Bonnie married Clarence S. Galen on February 8, 1964 in Matteson, IL. She worked as a cashier in financial institutions most of her life.

Bowling and traveling were some of Bonnie’s favorite activities, but the most joy was spent in time with her grandchildren. Bonnie also enjoyed fishing and gardening. Continue reading

Geraldine Ann “Gerri” Jackson

Geraldine Ann “Gerri” Jackson, age 90, of Knox, passed away Saturday, May 4, 2019 at her home. Gerri was born July 18, 1928 in St. Louis, Missouri to Walter Theiss and Helen Steiner Theiss, both deceased. She retired from Starke Memorial Hospital after 13 years in Central Supply. She enjoyed being a military wife, especially all of the travel, she loved cooking and even made cook books for her family, and loved anything to do with crafts, including quilting and sewing, making many homemade gifts for her family members. She was a devout member of the New Hope Baptist Church, where she had taught Sunday School. Continue reading

Margaret Ann Stryck, age 81, of North Judson, passed away Thursday, May 2, 2019. Margaret was born February 26, 1938 in Chicago, Illinois to Aloysius and Rose Sroczynski Stryck, both deceased. She is survived by nieces and nephews, Bryan Stryck, Glenn Stryck, Dean Stryck (Lynn) and Mitchell Stryck (Lisa), Angela Stryck, Mary Stryck and Lisa Gold (Scott), great nephews, Ryan Stryck and Sam Gold. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Robert Stryck (Anna) and Al Stryck, and a nephew, Nolan Gold.
