Laurel Christine “Chrissy” Tarnow, age 73, of Knox, passed away on December 12, 2018. Chrissy was born April 9, 1945, in Berrien Springs, Michigan to Joseph Brown and Donna Kent Brown, both deceased.
On November 27, 1965, she married Rod Tarnow at the Lutheran Church in Hamlet, Indiana, he survives. Also surviving are her son, Raymond Tarnow of Valparaiso, her brother, Jeff Brown of Zeeland, Michigan, and her grandsons, Jacob, and Adam Tarnow. Continue reading

HANNA-Carmen B. Pearman, 64, passed away Sunday, December 9, 2018 at Gabriel Home in Valparaiso, IN.
Carmen was born November 1, 1954 in Gary, IN to Robert and Beatrice (Skievaski) Pearman and lived in the area most of her life. She was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Knox and the Program Director at Porter Starke Services for 21 years.
Funeral services for Betty J. Wilcox, 86, of Winamac, are Wednesday, December 12 at noon at Calvary Baptist Church, with visitation there from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Braman & Son Memorial Chapel in Knox is in charge of arrangements.
Ralph Allen, age 93, of Knox, peacefully passed away at his home surrounded by his family on Sunday, December 9, 2018.
69-year-old Glenda C. Miller, of Knox, passed away Saturday, December 8, 2018 at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in Plymouth.
Glenda was born May 6, 1949 in Heber Springs, Arkansas to Willie H. Bittle and Erma Dean Everett Bittle, both deceased.
She loved going to church and was a member of the Gospel Lighthouse Church in Knox. Her favorite holidays were Thanksgiving and Christmas. Continue reading

A memorial service will be Friday, December 14th at 6:00 p.m. EST at the Antioch Baptist Church of Walkerton. Visitation will be Friday at the church from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. EST. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the church.

Owen Michael Abbott, 13, of Winamac, IN passed away on Wednesday, December 5, 2018 in Plymouth, IN as the result of a school bus accident. Owen was born on May 2, 2005, in Winamac to Dean Abbott, Jr. and Britni Weldon.
Owen enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting and playing sports. He was a member of the Pulaski County 4H and was active in the shooting sports club. He played baseball for Star City Little League and was on the All-Star team every year. Continue reading

Dorothy Risner, 86, of Knox, Indiana passed away November 30, 2018 in her home. She was born February 27, 1932 in Knox, Indiana to Leroy and Sadie Marie (Vanote) Dickson. In May of 1950 she married Arnold “Buck” Risner, who preceded her in death.

James Russell “Jim” Hindle, age 86, of Knox, passed away Wednesday, November 28, 2018 at Golden Living Center in Knox. Jim was born October 2, 1932 in Carlinville, Illinois to John R. Hindle and Ann C. Erthal Hindle, both deceased. He graduated from Knox High School in 1950. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army having served during the Korean War from 1950-52. He was a Life Member and Past Commander of American Legion Post 131 in Knox. He had worked in factories and as a bartender until his retirement.
