Rev. Hager Tolson, age 75, of Knox, IN, passed away on July 18, 2022, surrounded by his family. Hager had recently moved to the Pines Village Retirement Community on June 5. Hager was born in Toto, IN, to Raymond and Marie (Jordan) Tolson. He grew up with ten siblings. As a teen, he loved spending his time playing basketball. Hager became a born-again Christian at 26 and continued to serve the Lord for the remainder of his life. Hager and his wife founded the Knox Outreach Tabernacle Church in 2007.
At 17, Hager met the love of his life Rose M. (Shepherd), in Toto, IN and were married on October 28, 1965. Being a kind and dependable father was of the utmost importance to Hager, and he certainly did not disappoint when it came to wholeheartedly loving his wife, children, family, and friends.
In addition to his wife Rose and their three children; Deborah S Fletcher (Robert) of Valparaiso, IN, Sean Tolson (Teresa) Knox, IN, and Brian C. Tolson (Christy) of Knox, IN. Hager is survived by his six grandchildren; Amber R. Wilcox (Ralph) of Valparaiso, IN, Aaron S. Fletcher (Katelyn) of Valparaiso, IN, Tasha L. Tolson (Barry) of Knox, IN, Shauna B. Williams (Cody) of Knox, IN, Jonathan D. Tolson of Knox, IN and six great-children; Hayden L. Minix, Natalee A. Minix, Micayla R. Wilcox, Amelia J. Wilcox, Brantley A. Williams, and Winston O. Williams. Hager is survived by five siblings; Bub (James) Tolson, North Judson, IN, Raymond Jr. Tolson Knox, IN, Danny Tolson Marianna, FL, Michael Tolson Knox, IN, and Anna Marie Rudd, Michigan City, IN.
He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Tolson, mother, Marie Jordan Tolson, sisters Helen (Sis) Mullins, Louise Thompson, Jackie Collins, Brothers, Albert (Dude) Tolson, Jerry Tolson, and granddaughter Krista A. Tolson.
The funeral service will be at the Calvary Baptist Church in Knox, IN, on Saturday, July 23, 2022, at 10 am CDT. A visitation will be held at the same location on Friday, July 22 from 4-7 pm CDT.
