Shantell Elder Miltenberger, age 44, of Mishawaka, formerly of Knox, passed away Friday, February 4, 2022.
She was born March 27, 1977 in Plymouth, Indiana to George Elder Sr. and Bonnie M. Singleton Elder, both deceased. She loved music and going to concerts, animals and watching animal shows, especially sloths, motorcycle rides, road trips and parks. She loved spending time with family, especially her kids, grandkids and nieces and nephews.
She is survived by her long-time companion, Daniel Miltenberger of Mishawaka, her children, Justin Hettinger Jr. of Idaville, Indiana, Shianne Hettinger of Monticello, Indiana, and Alexis Hettinger (James Inman III) of Idaville, Indiana, brothers and sisters, Monica Keen (Eric) of Plymouth, Indiana, George Elder Jr. (Monica) of Knox, Della Keen (Ernest) of Knox, Mark Elder (Becky) of Knox, Dannell Escalante (Jesse) of Knox, and two grandsons, Justin Hettinger III and Jace Ryker Inman. She was preceded in death by a brother, Daniel Bowen.
Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at 1pm (CT), with visitation two hours prior to the services at M.C. Smith Funeral Home in Knox. Burial will follow at Fletcher Cemetery in Hamlet, Indiana. Memorial contributions can be made to the family for funeral expenses.
