Tracy L. Haddix

Tracy L. Haddix, age 51, of Knox, passed away Friday, November 12, 2021.

Tracy was born July 29, 1970 in Knox, to Winford C. Hensley Sr. and Sheila Young Hensley Godsey. She was a 1988 Graduate of Knox High School and had received her Masters Degree from Walden University. She was currently working as a nurse practitioner at the Knox-Winamac Community Health Center, but had worked many of the hospitals in the region. She had devoted her life to helping others, especially on a professional level, whether it be volunteering to work weekends and holidays so that co-workers could be with their families or through mentoring, training and helping with clinicals and had even taught classes at Purdue-Northwest University. She loved her swimming pool and spending time in the sun, was an avid reader, and loved shopping, especially for purses. She also enjoyed listening to 80’s music and country music. She adored her two dogs, Harley and Max and her nephews, Jaxon and Jaron.

On May 18, 2015, she married Brandon Haddix, he survives. Brandon & Tracy have been together since 2006. Also surviving are her mother and step-father, Sheila and Joe Godsey of North Judson, two brothers, Winford C. Hensley Jr. and Joe Hensley, both of Knox, and a sister, Jennifer Howard (Jason) of Westfield, IN, paternal grandparents George & Jannie Hensley of North Judson, and her nephews Jaxon and Jaron Howard, Anthony Hensley, nieces Jasmine and Lily Hensley. Preceding her in death is her father Winford C. Hensley Sr., and her maternal grandparents Bennett Young Jr. & Myrtle Young.

Visitation will be Wednesday, November 17, 2021 from 4-8pm (CT) at M.C. Smith Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Thursday, November 18, 2021 at 1pm (CT), with visitation two hours prior to services, at Bible Baptist Church in Knox. Burial will follow at Eagle Creek Cemetery in Knox.
