Pulaski County Sheriff Michael Gayer

From the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Department:

Incidents:
10/07/12 A Winamac resident requested an officer in reference to a break-in at his house. The only items that were stolen were prescription medications. The Sheriff’s Department does not take reports for stolen medications.

10/06/12 A Winamac man told police that he was going to check on his fields and came across a vehicle that ran into a field and rested against a pole. There wasn’t anyone around the car.

10/06/12 A call came into the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Department about some subjects shining spotlights. The subjects were attempting to run from the area.

10/05/12 A Winamac woman asked for an officer after someone tried to get into her home the previous evening. She told police that she waited to report the incident because she didn’t want to scare her children. Nothing was reported stolen.

10/05/12 A Medaryville man needed a report for a gun taken from his truck.

10/05/12 An employee at Howard’s Marathon asked for an officer to take a report on a drive-off of gasoline.

10/05/12 A Winamac couple called police to report that they arrived at the location to check on a trailer and found that someone cut off the lock on the gate and broke into their trailer.

10/05/12 The Francesville Fire Department was called to assist Jasper County in a rollover accident where extrication was needed.

10/03/12 A Medaryville resident told police that two gunshots were heard and the caller feared it may be poachers. The caller insisted that the shots came from a moving vehicle. Police were unable to find the vehicle in question.

10/02/12 The Winamac Fire Department was called to S&S Precast for an acetylene tank fire.

10/01/12 The Winamac Fire Department was called to a shed fire.

10/07/12 James Michael Rosplock arrested on a preliminary charge of Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated. Discharged 10/07/12

10/06/12 Michael Hughes was arrested on a warrant for Failure to Appear.

10/04/12 Jack McCarty was arrested on a body attachment.

10/04/12 James Penicaro was arrested on preliminary charges of Criminal Confinement and Rape.

10/03/12 Shawn Borden was arrested on a probation violation.

10/03/12 Keith Donald Fritz was arrested on two counts of Theft.

10/01/12 John Ronald Lara was arrested on an active arrest warrant. Discharged 10/01/12

10/01/12 James Richard Cappis, Jr. was arrested on a body attachment and a probation violation.

10/01/12 Brett Ames was arrested on a probation violation.

Doug Vessely
North Judson Town Marshal Doug Vessely

From the North Judson Police Department:

Incidents:
Officers responded to a property damage accident at Piggies and Cream Drive Inn. The driver of the vehicle did not see a utility pole and backed into it. North Judson Police Chief Doug Vessely estimated the damage to the vehicle over $1,000.00. There was no damage to the steel utility pole.

10/06/12 North Judson Police Officer Kelly Fisher responded to a complaint of a possible intoxicated driver. Officer Fisher located the vehicle and preformed a traffic stop. After a brief investigation, the driver of the vehicle, Jennifer M. Craig, was arrested on a preliminary charge of Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated.

10/03/12 Officers responded to a criminal mischief complaint at the North Judson Town Park on Weninger Street. A report was made in reference to a damaged toilet paper dispenser. This incident is still under investigation.

10/01/12 A resident in the 400 block of Sheridan Avenue reported that a 20 foot piece of aluminum gutter was stolen from his property.

10/01/12 A domestic complaint was reported in the 600 block of Keller Avenue. After a brief investigation, it was found that there was not any physical contact made between the complainant and the suspect.

Arrests:
10/06/12 Jennifer M. Craig, 29, 1615 W. 500 S., North Judson, IN, arrested on a preliminary charge of Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated.

Knox City Police Chief Clint Norem

From the Knox City Police Department:

Incidents:
10/07/12 Bob Cole told police that his wife’s vehicle sustained damage by another vehicle who had come into his driveway and left the scene.

10/06/12 Dick Ballard reported a break-in in his garage and vehicles inside the garage. Some items found in the glove compartment belonged to a couple on Culver Road who also told police that their vehicles had been broken into and items stolen. It is suspected that the unknown person(s) who broke into the vehicles placed those items in the glove compartment. Their items were later recovered.

10/06/12 James Baldridge called police after he thought he heard gunshots outside of his home.

10/05/12 Timothy Barnette, 43, 5129 Johnson St., Knox, IN, arrested on preliminary charges of Disorderly Conduct, Battery and Intimidation.

10/02/12 Gregory S. Tolson, 35, 403 S. Shield St., Knox, IN, arrested on preliminary charges of Dealing in Methamphetamine, Illegal Drug Lab, Possession of Methamphetamine and Neglect of a Dependent.
Cherie Tolson, 37, 403 S. Shield St., 403 S. Shield St., Knox, IN, arrested on preliminary charges of Dealing in Methamphetamine, Illegal Drug Lab, Possession of Methamphetamine and Neglect of a Dependent.
Nathan A. Vermilyer, 26, 403 S. Shield St., Knox, IN, arrested on preliminary charges of Dealing in Methamphetamine, Illegal Drug Lab and Possession of Methamphetamine.

Incidents

10/02/12 – A resident of the 4200 block of South 650 West in North Judson told police that someone had stolen her grandmother’s credit card and made a $9000 charge.

10/02/12 – A plow was reported stolen near the intersection of Toto Road and U.S. 35 in Knox.

10/02/12 – A resident of the 6200 block of West State Road 10 in North Judson told police that someone had stolen parts from his wood and brush chipper.

10/03/12 – A caller from the Grovertown Truck Stop told police that someone had stolen fuel from his truck.

10/03/12 – A resident of the 300 block of White Street in San Pierre reported a theft.

10/04/12 – A theft was reported near the intersection of 700 East and 100 North in Knox by a Creek Enterprises employee.

10/04/12 – A fight was reported in the Save a Lot parking lot in Knox.

10/05/12 – Karen Barnett of San Pierre told police that someone had stolen items from her residence.

10/05/12 – A caller from the 500 block of East St. Louis Street in Knox told police that someone had vandalized her vehicle.

10/05/12 – Patricia Sanders of Knox told police that someone had tried to impersonate her mother at the bank and attempted to withdraw $44,000.

10/06/12 – Dennis Morgan of Grovertown told police that someone had poured something in his gas tank over night.

10/06/12 – Cynthia Kos of Walkerton reported that someone had broken into her residence but nothing is missing

10/06/12 – A resident of the 7500 block of Hickory Avenue in Walkerton told police that someone had stolen several antiques from his property.

10/06/12 – Nancy Noble of Knox reported that someone had stolen about $400 worth of OSB board, siding, and firewood.

10/07/12 – An employee of Koontz Lake Supermarket told police that someone had busted out the front window.

10/08/12 – Bill Howard of North Judson told policethat someone had stolen a $600 set of wrenches and a paint sprayer from his home and pawned it.
