Incidents:
01/30/11 A resident in Winamac reported his TV stolen. He came home and found his door frame cracked and his TV missing.

01/30/11 A caller in Indian Township reported a radio stolen from an old car parked at that location. He followed the footsteps in the snow and has an idea where the suspect went.

01/29/11 A resident in Franklin Township told police that a vehicle drove into his driveway, left a couple of times and then drove toward the barn. The vehicle got caught up on a piece of concrete. Police gave the woman driving the vehicle a no trespassing warning and is to leave as soon she she gets her vehicle dislodged.

01/29/11 A Winamac woman found tire tracks in the snow in a parking lot that looks like a truck was spinning its tires. She found a guy in the truck slumped over the steering wheel. The caller’s husband attempted many times to wake the man and when he finally woke up, he stated that he was taking a nap while waiting for a friend.

01/29/11 A man in Medaryville advised police that his truck had been stolen.

01/28/11 A man in Beaver Township reported that some unknown person(s) broke into his farmhouse. He said the door had been kicked in and a water pump was missing.

01/28/11 A business owner reported the theft of a DVD the day before and the caller was advised on that day to call an officer if the suspect returned. The suspect had returned to store and is requesting an officer.

01/28/11 The Pulaski County Sheriff’s Department responded to a fatal accident. According to witnesses, a semi-truck and a car collided head-on which caused the car to explode. The semi caught also caught fire, but not much damage was reported and the driver was not injured. The accident happened two miles south of Thornhope on US 35. The accident was turned over to the Royal Center Town Marshal.

01/27/11 A caller reported that his garage was broken into and the front of the garage was destroyed.

01/27/11 A Star City resident reported 4-wheeler tracks by his door.

01/26/11 A woman called police to report her husband’s vehicle stolen. Her husband’s cell phone was in the vehicle and now someone is calling her from that phone.

01/26/11 Mark Matthews reported that some unknown person(s) got into his parked vehicle and removed his GPS navigator.

Arrests:
01/30/11 Jana Lynn Scott, 1204 Corey Dr., Knox, IN, arrested on preliminary charges of Operating a Vehicle Dangerously While Intoxicated and Operating a Vehicle with a BAC of at least .15%. She was arrested after a traffic stop.

01/28/11 Brittany Shepherd, 24, 712 S. Cherry St., North Judson, IN arrested on preliminary charges of Auto Theft and Theft. Shepherd reportedly took a truck that belonged to Jerry Sons. Sons told police he couldn’t remember giving Shepherd permission to take the truck. Shepherd claims she had Sons’ permission to take the truck. After a while, he stated that he even though he couldn’t remember, he would not have given Shepherd permission to take the truck. She also reportedly took several WWII medals from Son’s residence.

01/28/11 Robert Sobieck, 42, 1 S. McGill St., Knox, IN, arrested on an active warrant.

01/27/11 Roberta Clemons, 36, 400 N. Clark St., Knox, IN, arrested on a preliminary charge of Theft. According to police records, Clemons was in Dollar General and reportedly put merchandise in her purse.

01/26/11 Korey Draper, 36, 1000 E. Washington, Knox, IN, arrested on a body attachment.

01/21/11 Michael Ford, 24, 3260 S. Range Road, North Judson, IN, arrested on preliminary charges of Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated and Operating a Vehicle with a Controlled Substance in the Body. Ford reportedly hit a tree in the 300 block of Main Street in Knox. He stated that an oncoming vehicle was coming at him head-on which caused him to swerve and hit the tree.

01/29/11 A North Judson resident reported a lost driver’s license.

01/29/11 Jennifer Byrne called police to report that someone broke her mailbox off at the base.

01/28/11 Ed Lambert reported the theft of copper cables from the augers on his property. Unknown person(s) also stole power cables from the irrigation pumps.

01/28/11 A resident in the 4900 block of E. 800 S. in Knox reported a lap top and Wii game console stolen from the residence.

01/28/11 Dr. Subbaro reported the theft of a garbage can.

01/27/11 Mary Beaver reported the theft of items from her mother’s property.

01/26/11 Dale Hamand called to report that two of his vehicles had been broken into.

01/25/11 A Hamlet resident reported the theft of a handgun.

01/25/11 A resident called police to report that her neighbor shot one of her cats and threw it in a dumpster. The man threatened to kill more of her cats.

01/25/11 A Monterey resident reported the theft of a credit card.

01/25/11 A resident in the 8900 block of S. 1175 E. in Culver reported the house was broken into.

01/29/11 William J. Walley, Knox, IN, arrested on a preliminary charge of Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated.

01/28/11 Eight were arrested for Illegal Possession of Alcohol after police responded to an underage drinking party in the 5700 block of S. 250 W. in North Judson.

01/28/11 Arron Holland, 18, 4240 N. 100 E., Knox, arrested on a preliminary charge of Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated.

01/26/11 Franciso Esparza, 23, 713 N. Agnew, Winamac, IN, arrested on a preliminary charge of Operator Never Licensed.

Incidents:
01/29/11 North Judson Police assisted the Starke County Sheriff’s Department on report of a teenage drinking party on County Road 250 West. The investigation resulted in several Minor in Possession of Alcohol charges.

01/28/11 – North Judson Police investigated a theft from a vehicle while parked in the 300 block of Lane Street. The complainant advised she ran into a store for less than 15 minutes and when she returned her IPod Touch, valued at over $400, and a plastic cup of lose change was missing from her 1999 Dodge Pickup truck. The truck was left unlocked and again North Judson Police Chief Doug Vessely encourages everyone to lock your vehicle when not attended, even just for few moments.

01/25/11 Two times in the past week North Judson Police were called to the North Judson Middle School for juvenile boys being in a physical altercation.

01/29/11 Donald W. Fletcher, 42, 114 Lane Street, North Judson, IN, arrested on preliminary charges of Resisting Law Enforcement and Public Intoxication.

01/28/11 Kyle E. Neeley, 18, 7230 W. 88 North, Winamac, IN, arrested on preliminary charges of Operator Never Licensed and Failure to Prove Financial Responsibility.

01/27/11 Dustin R. Campbell, 23, 8740 South 700 North, North Judson, IN, arrested on Body Attachment through Starke Circuit Court for Failure to Appear.
