Incidents:

10/25/15 – North Judson Police took a vandalism report after a home in the 100 block of George Street was egged and TPd.

10/26/15 – North Judson Police took a report of an unlawful residential entry resulting in the theft of a flat screen television. Civil and domestic concerns are also involved, according to police.

10/27/15 – North Judson Police Chief Doug Vessely investigated a personal injury accident at the intersection of SR 10 and Lane Street. A vehicle heading north on Wilson Street was crossing State Road 10 onto Lane Street and struck a vehicle traveling westbound on State Road 10. The driver of the vehicle that was struck was taken to IU Health Starke Hospital by ambulance with complaints of neck and back pain. The Starke County Sheriff’s Office and Indiana State Police assisted with the investigation. Damage was estimated at almost $3,000.

10/28/15 – Extra patrols were requested in the 600 block of Keller Avenue.

10/28/15 – A women reported being scammed out of about $1,200 over the Internet. She was contacted via email by someone claiming to be her granddaughter asking for help and money. In this case there is no available recourse due to the way the money was transferred. Another scam reported this week involved a threat of arrest if funds weren’t transferred to the IRS within 45 minutes. North Judson Police note these are scams. They advise anyone who gets an email or telephone call from a family member asking for money to call the number they have for the person or call their parents before sending money. North Judson Police Chief Doug Vessely also reminds people the IRS will not make telephone calls to collect money. They will use the U.S. Mail and will not make threatening telephone calls. Vessely reminds people to not give their bank or credit card numbers out over the telephone unless they initiate contact with someone and to contact the police regarding any suspicious activity. He adds the best thing to do is to hang up on would-be scam callers.

10/29/15 – Officials at a local school reported a custody dispute to North Judson Police.

10/29/15 – North Judson Police responded to a trespassing complaint and a civil matter in the 300 block of Lane Street. Information was forwarded to the Starke County Prosecutor’s Office for review and consideration of possible charges.

10/31/15 – An aluminum boat was reported stolen from the 100 block of State Street. It is believed the older boat was scrapped.

10/31/15 – A North Judson officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle with an expired registration on Talmer Avenue at Ono Drive. The vehicle was previously reported stolen out of LaPorte County. A report was provided to the Starke County Prosecutor’s Office for the consideration of charges, and the vehicle was impounded.

11/02/15 – Officers responded to a suspicious circumstance complaint in the 600 block of East Talmer Ave.

11/02/15 – A North Judson resident was walking in the area of east Weninger Street and Walnut Street reported being followed by a group of juveniles. The officer was unable to locate the youngsters.

11/03/15 – North Judson Police responded to a property damage accident in the area of SR 10 and CR 250 W. Damages are estimated at over $2,500.

11/04/15 – A neighbor dispute was reported to in the 300 block of Leslie Street.

11/05/15 – North Judson Police were called to the 400 block of Keller Avenue in reference to an unwanted subject. The subject left walking to his parents’ home.

11/06/15 – A resident in the area of Sycamore and Mullberry Streets reported a traffic complaint and requested extra patrols.

11/09/15 – North Judson Police responded to a suspicious person complaint in the 600 block of Oakwood Street. Chief Doug Vessely found subject on Lane Street and he advised he was looking for someone.

11/12/15 – North Judson Police responded to a neighbor dispute in the 400 block of Main Street.

11/15/15 – A resident in the 100 block of State Street reported the theft of items from unlocked vehicles. The North Judson Police Department reminds residents to make sure their vehicles and homes are locked to prevent such incidents.

11/16/15 – A resident in the 600 block of Laurel Street reported damage to her door and storm door.

11/17/15 – North Judson Police assisted a stranded motorist in the area of State Road 10 and 775 West. Officers provided traffic control until a tow truck arrived.

11/18/15 – North Judson Police responded to a neighbor dispute in the 100 block of East Sycamore Street.

11/19/15 – North Judson Police are still investigating a hit-and-run property damage accident in the 100 block of East Sycamore Street. Anyone with information is asked to contact the police department.

11/20/15 – A burn complaint was reported in the area of Garfield and Cherry Streets.

11/20/15 – North Judson Police responded to an animal complaint in the 200 block of East State Street

11/20/15 – North Judson Police responded to a vehicle versus combine property damage accident in the area of SR 10 and 100 West. It is still under investigation.

11/12/15 – Ronald J. Siebert Jr., 27, North Judson – Resisting Law Enforcement with a Vehicle.

11/15/15 – Adam Lee White, 32, North Judson – Knox City Court warrant

11/17/15 -John Wesley Rupert, 32, North Judson – Starke Circuit Court warrant and Jasper County warrant.

11/19/15 – Dustin Wade Large, 30, North Judson – Porter County warrant.

Starke County Sheriff's Department Badge11/5/15 – Hamlet Police were notified of a bucket of apparent meth supplies on Starke Street near the NIPSCO line.

11/5/15 – A resident in the 7800 block of North Tippecanoe Drive N. in Walkerton reported his neighbor is playing his music so loud it is rattling the neighborhood.

11/5/15 – A Knox resident reported receiving a telephone call advising she won a sweepstakes and needed to send money. She did, and received another telephone call advising more money was needed. Her bank advised her to file a police report.

11/5/15 – A motorist called the sheriff’s office to report hitting a deer on State Road 39 near the Starke/Pulaski County line. He was able to drive home and believes damage to his vehicle is less than $1,000.

11/6/15 – A resident in the 8500 block of east 200 South in Knox reported the theft of items.

11/6/15 – A resident in the 4800 block of South State Road 39 in North Judson reported her mailbox was knocked down.

11/6/15 – A Walkerton resident reported receiving an IRS scam call.

11/7/15 – A resident in the 4300 block of south 100 West in North Judson reported items were stolen from his vehicle in the middle of the night.

11/7/15 – Officers were notified of a property damage accident in the 8300 block of east 200 North in Grovertown.

11/7/15 – A Walkerton resident reported the theft of items.

11/7/15 – A resident in the 7700 block of East 625 South in Knox requested a theft report.

11/7/15 – The Starke County Sheriff’s Office, Starke County EMS and Bass Lake Fire Department responded to a battery report in the 8600 block of South Sycamore Street in Monterey.

11/7/15 – A motorist hit a raccoon on 400 South one mile east of U.S. 421.

11/8/15 – Officers responded to a vehicle versus deer crash on U.S. 35 at State Road 10 in Knox.

11/8/15 – Officers were notified of a suspicious vehicle with Michigan plates in the area of the Bass Lake Cemetery.

11/8/15 – A possible poaching incident was reported in the 2300 block of East 800 South in North Judson.

11/8/15 – A sheriff’s deputy responded to a vehicle versus deer property damage accident in the 1500 block of East 500 South in Knox.

11/8/15 – Officers responded to a vehicle versus deer property damage accident on U.S. 35 by the bowling alley in Knox.

11/9/15 – A sheriff’s deputy responded to a vehicle versus deer crash on 750 East north of 700 South in Monterey.

11/9/15 – A deputy took a report of a vehicle versus deer crash that happened near the intersection of State Road 39 and State Road 10 in North Judson.

11/9/15 – A resident in the 6400 block of East 25 North in Knox reported her purse was stolen out of her vehicle sometime overnight.

11/9/15 – A resident in the 2300 block of West U Road in North Judson reported vandalism to a truck and a car parked in the driveway.

11/9/15 – A HicksGas employee reported a tank missing in the 400 block of North 1025 East in Knox.

11/9/15 – A vehicle versus deer crash was reported on State Road 23 north of Toto Road.

11/9/15 – A vehicle versus deer crash was reported on 600 East north of U.S. 30 in Knox.

11/9/15 – A vehicle versus deer crash was reported at the intersection of Toto Road and 100 West.

11/10/15 – A resident in the 4200 block of East 216 South in Knox reported the theft of several articles of clothing and electronic game systems.

11/10/15 – Officers responded to a vehicle versus deer crash on U.S. 30 east of Knoll Brothers in Hamlet.

11/10/15 – A vehicle versus deer crash report was requested for an accident in the 1300 block of North 500 East in Knox.
