Incidents:
05/12/12 A vehicle parked overnight in the 600 Block of E. Talmer Avenue reported to North Judson Police that it had two slashed tires.

05/10/12 North Judson Police investigated a single vehicle roll-over accident just north of North Judson on English Lake Road around 7:00 AM. An underage driver was coming to school when an animal came onto the roadway. The driver veered to the left to avoid striking the animal and the 1995 Jeep wagon went off the roadway and rolled onto the driver’s side. She believed the animal was a deer or a large dog. The driver was transported by EMS to IU Health Starke Hospital to be checked on. The driver had a minor complaint of pain, and was later released. North Judson Police Chief Doug Vessely estimated the damages at over $6,000.

05/09/12 A theft of a Kindle Fire was reported to the North Judson Police from the Apartments in the 100 Block of High Street. Three vehicle were also gone through in the back driveway. A set of wrenches was reported missing. This incident remains under investigation.

05/09/12 North Judson Police were dispatched to the North Judson–San Pierre Elementary School in reference to a child custody dispute.

05/08/12 North Judson Police responded to a child custody dispute in the 400 Block of Lincoln Avenue.

04/18/2012 Delmar E. Caldwell, 53, 4835 South SR 39, North Judson, IN, arrested on a preliminary charge of Operating Vehicle while Intoxicated.

Pulaski County Sheriff's Department

Incidents:
05/13/12 Pulaski County officers were called to an accident in the Medaryville area. The vehicle in question was in the ditch on 150 North on the west side of the Legion. The man driving the vehicle said he wasn’t injured but was taken to Pulaski Memorial Hospital for injuries. He was later released.

05/13/12 A Pulaski resident called police to report that a hawk flew into the garage and took out a headlight and left scratches on the resident’s vehicle. Police advised there was not enough damage for a police report.

05/13/12 A Winamac resident told police that her wallet was stolen while at the bar. Two women entered the bar asking if the bartender could cash a check made out to BP and the request was denied. They grabbed the woman’s purse before exiting the bar.

05/13/12 A Winamac gas station reported a drive-off of $10.03. Police found the suspect vehicle and learned that the owner’s sister-in-law had the car and didn’t pay for the gas. Effort was being made to pay for the gas.

05/13/12 A Winamac resident found a woman’s purse and police returned it to the owner. Only one card was missing from the wallet.

05/12/12 A Monterey resident reported the theft of a horse trailer from a summer home within the last two weeks.

05/12/12 A Medaryville resident called police to report that two people were fighting on 175 North and one of the subjects threw a rock at her vehicle breaking out the headlight.

05/11/12 Police were called after a Winamac resident found a hole in the front bay window of his home. He told officers it was a little bigger than a BB pellet.

05/11/12 A woman in the Franklin Township area reported being slapped in the face.

05/11/12 A Cass Township caller reported that the neighbor children keep coming onto her property, aggravating the dog and getting into her shed. The caller said she has spoken to the parents but the kids keep coming back.

05/10/12 A Winamac resident reported the theft of an Apple iPad.

05/10/12 The Winamac Fire Department was called to a fire at the intersection of State Road 14 and 700 West. Pine trees were burning south of the Bethel Bible Church.

05/10/12 A Denham resident reported the theft of an air conditioning unit from a foreclosure property.

05/10/12 Two vehicles were damaged by baseballs while parked just inside the park entrance.

05/10/12 A car vs. deer accident was called in from the Denham area. The driver went into the ditch to miss the deer. No injuries were reported.

05/09/12 A contractor reported the theft of material while doing construction for the Town of Medaryville.

05/09/12 A Denham resident reported her son’s cell phone and wallet missing.

05/09/12 A woman in the Franklin Township area reported that her daughter battered her.

05/08/12 A Star City resident reported theft of items from his gun cabinet.

05/08/12 A hit and run accident occurred in the Denham area. The caller said she was rear-ended really hard and the suspect vehicle took off.

05/07/12 A Francesville resident called police to report that some unknown person(s) spray-painted their building.

05/07/12 An official from Pulaski Memorial Hospital called to report that a woman jumped the curb at the hospital and hit the building.

05/07/12 A Winamac woman called police to report that someone broke into her home and has gone through all of her dresser drawers in her house.

05/14/12 Kenneth J. Hopkins, 23, 15489 W. 450 N., Medaryville, IN, arrested on preliminary charges of Possession of Methamphetamine and Possession of a Controlled Substance.

05/13/12 Ralph L. Williams, 40, 621½ S. Monticello St., Winamac, IN, arrested on a Jasper County warrant.

05/12/12 Wendy Miller, 21, 6760 E. 125 N., Knox, IN, arrested on preliminary charges of Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated and Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated Endangerment. Discharged 05/13/12

05/12/12 Karen Lee Bishop, 41, 454 N. Market St., Apt. 2, Winamac, IN, arrested on a preliminary charge of Domestic Battery.

05/12/12 LaRue B. Powers, 60, 8479 S. Ash St., Monterey, IN, arrested on preliminary charges of Possession of Paraphernalia and Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated.

05/11/12 Joshua Hunnicutt, 30, 116½ E. Madison St. Winamac, IN, arrested on an active arrest warrant.

05/08/12 Michael Mendez, 31, 2374 W. 700 S., Star City, IN, arrested on a preliminary charge of Child Molestation.

05/13/12 An officer was called to the William Kennedy residence for an unwanted person on the property.

05/12/12 Sandra Brooke reported to police that a dog that was supposed to be inside a fenced yard on Ruthie Drive got out and killed a cat.

05/12/12 Felix Powell told officers that some unknown person(s) stole a roll of copper wire from the back of his truck while parked at the Astoria Inn in Knox.

05/10/12 A man reported being battered by a Knox man. Charges are pending and the case remains under investigation.

05/10/12 Police notified the owner of Smith Farm Store of an unsecured vehicle

05/10/12 Lidiia Rohatinovici reported to police that several of her windows were broken when she returned home from a vacation. Her neighbors also had damage to their homes as well.

A theft of 39 computer chargers was reported at the Oregon-Davis School System.
A license plate was reportedly stolen from a trailer in the 11500 block of East 900 South in Culver.
A gate was reportedly stolen near the intersection of Ind. 8 and Range Road.
May 15
Officers were called to the 600 block of North 700 East in Knox in reference to a battery incident.
A caller from the 8700 block of South Sycamore Street in Monterey told police that subjects were taking items from nearby residences and vehicles.
May 16
A theft was reported in the 6300 block of East 250 North in Grovertown.
A possible identity theft was reported in the 10400 block of East 600 North.
May 17
A theft of a moped was reported in the 1800 block of West Dawn Drive in North Judson.
A caller from the 2700 block of West Toto Road in North Judson told police that someone shot out two truck windows.
A cash box was reportedly stolen from the Bass Lake Lions building.
Amber Hargrove of Walkerton told police that someone stole her Allied Waste trash can.
A resident of the 11400 block of East State Road 8 in Knox told police that someone stole items from his boat.
A hit-and-run was reported on US 35 near Save a Lot.
May 18
A caller from the 600 block of South 500 East in Knox told police that she received a fraudulent phone call from a man who identified himself as a government official.
May 19
Jade Draper of Knox told police that someone stole her gray Mercury Sable from her driveway.
A theft was reported from the Koontz Lake Fire Station garage.
A caller from the 3300 block of East South Country Lane in Knox told police that someone tried breaking into his vehicle.
May 20
A caller from the 7900 block of Tippecanoe Drive in Walkerton told police that someone stole her garbage can.
A theft was reported in the 2300 block of West U Road in North Judson.
