Incidents:
08/14/12 North Judson Police Officer Todd Keen responded to a call of a vehicle dragging a gas pump hose. The other end of the hose was still in the gas fill lid. Officer Keen preformed a traffic stop on the vehicle on State Road 10. After a brief investigation. The driver of the vehicle, Michael Anthony Silanskis, 44, of Knox was arrested on a preliminary charge of Driving Under the Influence of a Narcotic.

08/14/12 Two juveniles told police that their bikes and backpacks were stolen from the alley behind Subway.

08/14/12 North Judson police responded to a call of a female driving recklessly around the North Judson-San Pierre Middle School. Officers located the vehicle parked in the parking lot unoccupied.

08/13/12 North Judson police responded to a single vehicle property damage accident in the area of English Lake Road and County Road 500 South. The driver, Brandon Lee Camp, told Officer Frank Thomas that his front tire slid off the roadway. Officer Thomas estimated the damages above $2,500 and no injuries were reported.

08/13/12 A resident in the 300 block of N. George Street reported that he had some friends over and someone stole some money out of his wallet. This remains under investigation.

08/13/12 North Judson police received a report of an older white truck tearing up the south ball field at the town park. When the Officer arrived the vehicle was gone.

08/10/12 A resident in the 600 block of Arlington Avenue reported that her mailbox was damaged.

08/07/12 A resident found two red flashing railroad signals in the alley in the 400 block of Keller Avenue.

08/07/12 A resident in the 700 block of Laurel Street requested extra patrol in reference to her being harassed by an ex-boyfriend.

Arrests:
08/14/12 Michael Anthony Silanskis, 44, of Knox, IN, was arrested on a preliminary charge of Driving Under the Influence of a Narcotic.

08/07/12 Brad D. Allen, 31, of North Judson, IN, was arrested on a Failure to Appear Warrant for violation of a court order.

08/07/12 Plaze J. Campbell, 28, 204 Arrowhead, of Porter, IN arrested on a preliminary charge of Operator Never Licensed.

Incidents:
08/19/12 A man was injured in a single motorcycle accident in the Francesville area. The caller stated that the victim was his father and he was pulling out of the driveway at a slow speed, but lost control in the gravel.

08/18/12 A resident in the Monterey area reported an alleged battery incident that occurred in Illinois.

08/18/12 A Medaryville resident told police that she sideswiped another vehicle.

08/18/12 The Winamac Police Department was called to a break-in where several items were reported stolen.

08/17/12 A Winamac woman requested to speak to an officer regarding a stolen check.

08/17/12 A Winamac man called police to report a break-in at his house. He reported some articles were stolen in the burglary.

08/17/12 A two vehicle accident occurred at 114 and Highway 421 but no injuries were reported.

08/16/12 A business owner called police to report that some unknown subject(s) threw rocks through his office windows.

08/16/12 A Monterey resident reported emaciated horses outside the fence on the neighbor’s property. One horse had a bad gash on its leg and its ribs were showing. The caller said the other horse also looked in bad shape. The homeowners were contacted and said the horses were fine. The owner said the neighbors are not horse people and don’t know what they’re talking about.

08/20/12 Carrie Shidler, 26, 3179 W. 250 N., Winamac, IN, arrested on an active arrest warrant.

08/20/12 Mary F. Marinello, 57, 5017 Elm St., Knox, IN, arrested on preliminary charges of Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated – Endangerment and Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated with a BAC of .15 or greater. Discharged 08/20/12

08/18/12 Kimberly Wireman, 25, 106 S. Fisher St., San Pierre, IN, arrested on preliminary charges of Disorderly Conduct and Battery.

08/18/12 Michael O’Donnell, 43, 619 N. Agnew, Winamac, IN, arrested on preliminary charges of Public Intoxication, Disorderly Conduct and Resisting Law Enforcement. Discharged 08/19/12

08/17/12 Sean P. Allman, 42, Wheatfield, IN, arrested on a preliminary charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance.

08/17/12 Mitchell Wolff, 18, 608 N. Hathaway St., Winamac, IN, arrested on preliminary charges of Burglary and Theft. Discharged 08/17/12

08/16/12 Zachary Minix, 28, 414 W. Jefferson St., Winamac, IN, arrested on an active arrest warrant. Discharged 08/20/12

08/16/12 Justin Burch, 28, 6855 W. U.S. 421, San Pierre, IN, arrested on a small claims warrant. Discharged 08/16/12

From the Knox City Police Department:

Incidents:
08/21/12 An employee of Next Door Food Store reported the drive-off of $57.00 in gas.

08/18/12 Denise Kujawa called police to report the theft of cash from her purse. She also noted that a payment was made to a cellular phone account that was not hers that was paid with her debit card.

08/18/12 Crystal Boggess reported the theft of her son’s laptop. She noticed it missing after she let Maxine Grigsby stay over at her house the night prior to the theft. Her son’s computer was gone the next day and so was Grigsby.

08/17/12 Lillie McCullough told police that some unknown person(s) stole her husband’s generator from the shed on their property. The pad lock securing the shed had been cut and was laying on the ground.

08/11/12 A woman riding her bicycle on County Road 500 East, approximately ¼ mile north of 200 South flagged down a city officer to advise him of a possible dumped meth lab. The officer found a grocery bag containing an empty can of Coleman fuel and a Coca Cola bottle containing a liquid substance plus lithium batteries. The Indiana State Police Methamphetamine Lab Team was called to clean up the scene.

08/09/12 Robert Atkinson told officers that Roy McCarty had been to his residence and was intoxicated. McCarty was told to leave the property and returned shortly after leaving and was told again to leave. Atkinson said McCarty reportedly attempted to hit him and Atkinson picked up a metal pipe from nearby and hit McCarty with it. McCarty then left the property.

08/09/12 Raymond Hummel, Jr. reported the theft of a mattress and box springs out of the back of his pickup truck.

08/16/12 Mary Linsner, 43, 1004 Virginia Lane #23, Knox, IN, arrested on an active arrest warrant out of Fulton County.

08/10/12 Phillip Centers, 206 W. Locust Dr., Knox, IN, arrested on an outstanding warrant.

08/10/12 Doreena Smith, 39, 409 W. Ellis St., Knox, IN, arrested on a preliminary charge of Public Intoxication.
Kelley D. Rowe, 43, Monterey, IN, arrested on a preliminary charge of Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated-Endangerment and cited for Driving While Suspended.

08/08/12 Forrest A. Back, 43, 70 ½ N. Layman Ave., Indianapolis, IN, arrested on preliminary charges of Public Intoxication and Disorderly Conduct.

08/15/12 – A resident of the 10000 block of West State Road 10 in San Pierre told police that her house was being broken into.

08/15/12 – A caller from the 7500 block of East 350 South in Knox told police that she returned home after being gone for a few days to find her home had been burglarized.

08/15/12 – A caller from the 4400 block of East Dawn Drive in Knox reported someone had been using their stepdaughter’s Medicaid card in Gary.

08/15/12 – A resident of the 1100 block of East 150 South in Knox told police that someone had ransacked her residence.

08/16/12 – A resident of the 9800 block of East 50 South told police that someone had rammed his vehicle and hit a building nearby.

08/16/12 – A caller told police that someone had stolen a bracelet and sold it at the pawn shop.

08/16/12 – Police received a call informing them that a man had been battered by a woman at the Bass Lake Sandbar.

08/16/12 – A resident of the 6000 block of South 900 East in Monterey told police that someone had stolen two guns from his home.

08/16/12 – A caller from the 5100 block of South 100 West in North Judson told police that someone was near her garage, possibly scrapping metal.

08/17/12 – A theft was reported in the 10400 block of East State Road 8 in Knox.

08/17/12 – A resident of the 4800 block of East 900 South in Knox told police that someone had stolen six guns from his home.

08/18/12 – A theft of a chainsaw and money was reported in the 5700 block of South 900 East in Knox.

08/19/12 – A caller from the 1100 block of East State Road 10 in Knox told police that she just chased off an intruder in her back yard.

08/20/12 – Greg Powell of Walkerton told police his car had been keyed while he was out of town.

08/20/12 – A caller from Stelrema in Knox told police someone had stolen a vehicle from the business.
