Incidents:
05/11/20 A North Judson resident told police that he found a firearm while mowing the grass.
05/11/20 A three vehicle accident was reported in the area of U.S. 30 and State Road 23 in Grovertown with no injuries.
05/11/20 A Knox resident complained to police about the neighbor’s dog coming on to the property and aggressively chasing them.
05/12/20 The Starke County Sheriff’s Office was notified by the project manager for INDOT that a semi barreled through the road block on U.S. 35 at the U.S. 30 overpass in Hamlet. There was fuel leaking from the vehicle, but hazmat did not need to be called to the scene.
05/12/20 A car was reported in the ditch in the area of State Road 8 and 600 E. in Knox. The vehicle was unoccupied at the time of the call. The owner was called who reportedly stated that the vehicle sustained a flat tire.
05/12/20 A North Judson resident called police to report horse neglect.
05/14/20 Five Star officials reported a shoplifter.
05/14/20 A vehicle was found in the ditch in the 2100 E. block of 600 N. in Hamlet.
05/14/20 A North Judson resident reported a residential burglary.
05/15/20 Dispatchers were notified of a vehicle that a vehicle hit the firehouse at San Pierre.
05/16/20 A Culver resident reported the theft of items from a pole barn.
05/16/20 A Knox resident called police to complain about two people in a truck shooting geese.
05/16/20 A tractor and a pickup truck were reportedly involved in a minor collision in a driveway. No injuries were reported.
05/16/20 A Knox resident told dispatchers that a neighbor was target shooting at a garbage pile and a bullet hit his pole barn.
05/16/20 A North Judson resident complained to police about four wheelers and mini bikes traveling up and down the road, being loud, and revving engines.
05/17/20 A North Judson resident reported the theft of a motorcycle. Police later pulled conducted a traffic stop of the motorcycle and it was impounded.
