10/14/20 A vehicle fire was reported at U.S. 30 and U.S. 35 in Hamlet. The driver reportedly told police that he was driving the car from Knox and saw flames. The driver pulled the car to the side of the road and firefighters extinguished the fire.
10/14/20 A car vs pole accident was reported at 900 S. and 1100 W. in San Pierre. The driver was transported to the hospital.

10/15/20 A North Judson resident reported a scam to officers where the caller said a person can go to jail if a fine isn’t paid. The scammer said not to contact the local police or she would be detained immediately.
10/15/20 Police assisted a motorist whose vehicle was stuck in a ditch on 10-mile Road.
10/16/20 A car vs deer accident was reported on E. Danker Street in Knox.
10/16/20 A Monterey resident told police that an uncapped needle was found. The item was collected to be destroyed by officers.
10/16/20 A Walkerton resident reported the theft of a computer bag from a vehicle.
10/16/20 A Great Dane was reported stolen from a yard in Grovertown.
10/17/20 A car vs deer accident was reported in the 600 E. block of Toto Road in Knox.
10/17/20 A car vs deer accident was reported just west of the Starke County Sheriff’s Office at 5435 E. State Road 8 in Knox.
10/17/20 A hit and run accident reportedly occurred in the parking lot at Bailey’s Discount Center in North Judson.
10/17/20 A driver called dispatchers to say that he attempted to avoid a deer in the road in the area of 500 E. and 25 N. in Knox and ended up in a ditch. The driver did not have any injuries.
10/17/20 A car vs. tree accident was reported at 750 E. and 850 S. in Monterey. The driver complained of pain in her leg.
10/18/20 A two-vehicle accident was reported in the 800 S. block U.S. 35 in Monterey.
