2/20/17 – A Knox resident reported identity theft.
2/20/17 – Dispatchers were advised of 4-wheelers and a go-kart on the road in the area of 150 South and 200 East and on Lart Lane.
2/20/17 – An officer responded to a report of vandalism at the Koontz Lake Fire Station in Walkerton and spoke to juveniles in the area.
2/20/17 – Stolen items were recovered from the pawn shop.
2/20/17 – The Starke County Sheriff’s Office advised Earl Coffin has not registered as a sex offender since Feb. 23, 2015.
2/20/17 – A vehicle versus deer property damage accident was reported on State Road 23 north of U.S. 30 in the S curve.
2/21/17 – A San Pierre resident reported a scam attempt targeting his father, who suffers from dementia. The scammer claimed to be from NIPSCO.
2/21/17 – A resident in the 11100 block of east Nicole Drive in Culver reported her 11-year-old son was beat up on the bus.
2/22/17 – A resident in the 4400 block of south Dawn Drive in Knox advised someone broke a window out in her residence.
2/22/17 – A resident in the 7600 block of south 200 West in Knox advised a silver Chevrolet 1500 truck pulled into the driveway, backed up and hit their light pole. The property owner does not know who was in the truck.
2/23/17 – The Starke County Sheriff’s Office, EMS and first responders all responded to a report of a single-vehicle rollover accident on 50 South west of Range Road in Knox.
2/23/17 – The Knox Fire Department responded to a vehicle fire in the 300 block of Spruce Drive in Knox.
2/23/17 – The Starke County Sheriff’s Office, Starke County EMS and Koontz Lake Fire Department First Responders all responded to a multiple vehicle accident on U.S. 30 west of State Road 23 in Grovertown.
2/23/17 – Officers responded to a report of an unwanted person at a residence in the 5100 block of south Elm Street in Knox.
2/23/17 – A North Judson resident came to the Starke County Sheriff’s Office to file a harassment report.
2/23/17 – The Starke County Sheriff’s Office, Starke County EMS and Knox Center Township Fire Department First Responders all responded to a report of a vehicle versus bus accident in the 2400 block of East Toto Road.
2/23/17 – A hit and run property damage accident was reported at the intersection of U.S. 35 and 250 North in Knox.
2/23/17 – A resident in the 2600 block of south 700 East in Knox advised the neighbor was raking leaves onto their property.
2/23/17 – A two-vehicle property damage accident was reported on State Road 239 south of State Road 8 in Knox.
2/23/17 – A resident in the 6800 block of east Hommette Ave. in Knox advised the neighbors are shooting and it is close to his daughter’s bedroom.
2/24/17 – A resident in the 2600 block of south 700 East in Knox advised his neighbor is cutting down his fence.
2/24/17 – A resident in the 5200 block of south Holiday Street in North Judson reported a suspicious man on her property and advised he left in a silver Dodge minivan.
2/24/17 – A Knox resident reported being harassed.
2/24/17 – Officers were dispatched to a home in the 11500 block of east 400 North in Grovertown to remove a person who was believed to be staying there without permission while the homeowner is away.
2/24/17 – A resident in the 8000 block of State Road 23 in Walkerton asked for an officer to assist with the removal of out-of-control people from the property. The Walkerton Police Department was advised to an extended arrival time for the Starke County Sheriff’s Office.
2/25/17 – The Starke County Sheriff’s Office and Starke County EMS responded to an accident with injuries in at the intersection of U.S. 35 and 500 South in Knox.
2/25/17 – An employee at the Grovertown Truck Stop requested an officer for a man in his late 30s acting strangely in the restaurant. He was reportedly taking his shirt and hat off and taking his shirt off and on, sitting on the countertop and mumbling incoherently. The caller thinks he may be on drugs. The man left but returned later and was reportedly trying to sleep in the aisle.
2/25/17 – A Knox resident reported check fraud.
2/25/17 – A two-vehicle property damage accident was reported at the intersection of State Road 39 and Toto Road in North Judson.
2/25/17 – A property owner reported a suspicious white truck in the 11800 block of east U.S. 30 in Grovertown.
2/26/17 – A resident in the 1200 block of east 250 South in Knox advised 4-wheelers are riding on her property.
2/26/17 – A Knox resident reported being harassed.
