3/28/16 – The Starke County Sheriff’s Office responded to a single-vehicle property damage accident on U.S. 421 south of State Road 10.

3/28/16 – A caller advised the NIPSCO substation at the intersection of U.S. 421 and State Road 10 in San Pierre was broken into sometime over the weekend.

3/28/16 – The Starke County Sheriff’s Office investigated a two-vehicle property damage accident on State Road 10 by the walking trail.

3/28/16 – A caller reported a 4-wheeler running up and down the road in the area of Shady Drive and Kanney Avenue in Koontz Lake.

3/28/16 – The Starke County Sheriff’s Office, Starke County EMS and Koontz Lake Fire Department responded to a report of possible drug activity in the 8200 block of North Eureka Drive in Plymouth.

3/28/16 – A resident in the 2600 block of south 700 East in Knox reported a neighbor playing loud music, doing burnouts and revving his truck.

3/29/16 – Officers responded to a single-vehicle property damage accident in the eastbound lane of U.S. 30 west of U.S. 35 in Hamlet.

3/29/16 – A resident in the 9500 block of East 100 North in Knox reported the discovery of meth trash across the street from his property.

3/29/16 – The Starke County Sheriff’s Office, Hamlet Police Department, Hamlet Fire Department and Starke County EMS responded to a three-vehicle personal injury accident at the intersection of 400 North and U.S. 35 in Knox.

3/29/16 – Officers recovered a trailer reported stolen in Marshall County a few months ago in rural Hamlet near Hensler’s Nursery and returned it to the owner.

3/29/16 – A caller reported a possible burglary in progress in the 6700 block of east 700 North in Hamlet.

3/29/16 – A caller reported meth trash in the 8800 block of east 150 North in Knox.

3/29/16 – A vehicle versus deer crash was reported on State Road 39 two miles south of North Judson.

3/30/16 – A Knox resident reported receiving a scam telephone call from an Indian man claiming to be with the IRS.

3/30/16 – A resident in the 11000 block of East Mohawk Road in Koontz Lake reported a stolen trailer plate.

3/31/16 – Deputies responded to a property damage accident in the 8000 block of west San Pierre Road in San Pierre.

3/31/16 – A resident in the 1700 block of west 450 South in North Judson believes someone came into her house and stole her tablet and gas cards.

4/1/16 – A resident in the 8200 block of South 750 East in Monterey says the adjacent property owner cut down trees on his property.

4/1/16 – A resident in the 2600 block of south 700 East in Knox reported property damage caused by the neighbor.

4/1/16 – A resident in the 10000 block of east 500 North in Grovertown reported a suspicious white van occupied by two men with long hair wearing hunting clothing driving past the house like they were checking the area out.

4/1/16 – A two-vehicle property damage accident was reported at the intersection of U.S. 35 and 400 South in Knox.

4/1/16 – A resident in the 8200 block of north State Road 23 in Walkerton reported the theft of a marine battery and trolling motor from a boat he has for sale and advised the items were taken with in the last month.

4/2/16 – The Starke County Sheriff’s Office, Starke County EMS and Bass Lake Fire Department responded to a single-vehicle injury accident in the 10700 block of east State Road 10 in Culver.

4/2/16 – A resident in the 2000 block of west 700 South in North Judson advised her gas was siphoned out of her truck the previous night. It was parked in her driveway.

4/2/16 – A Lebanon, Ind. resident advised her license plate was stolen from Mark Baliey’s Discount Center earlier in the day.

4/3/16 – A Plymouth man advised he hit a dog in the 9700 block of east State Road 8 in Knox and damaged his vehicle.

4/3/16 – A man advised two known suspects stole items and cash from him in the parking lot of Richard’s of Toto and came after him with an ax when he followed them to a residence.

4/1/16 – Eric Shawn Sturgell, 33, Rochester – Dealing in methamphetamine, illegal drug lab; possession or sale of precursors >10 grams, possession of methamphetamine and maintaining a common nuisance.

4/1/16 – Jessica Sturgell, 37, Winamac – Dealing in methamphetamine, illegal drug lab; possession or sale of precursors >10 grams, possession of methamphetamine and maintaining a common nuisance.

4/1/16 – Brian Wayne Aasand, 27, North Judson – Possession of methamphetamine.
