Incidents:

04/16/18 A two vehicle accident was reported at 1025 E. and 100 N. The drivers were reportedly in an argument before the complainant left the scene.

04/17/18 A minor personal injury accident was reported at 750 E. north of U.S. 30 in the Hamlet area.

04/17/18 A Knox resident reported the theft of a weight bench.

04/17/18 A single vehicle accident was reported on U.S. 35 north of 500 S.

04/18/18 A North Judson resident reported a black Ford truck stuck in a field on 400 S. between 650 W. and 750 W.

04/18/18 North Judson Town Marshal Kelly Fisher requested the assistance in a car vs. deer accident in a squad car at the intersection of State Road 39 and State Road 10.

04/18/18 The Indiana State Police notified the sheriff’s department that troopers were on scene of a minor personal injury accident at 300 E. and Toto Road in Knox.

04/18/18 A Bass Lake resident reported the theft of a car and truck while she was sleeping.

04/18/18 A Hamlet resident told police that a vehicle hit the mailbox at the residence on 700 N. A bent pipe and vehicle parts were left at the scene.

04/18/18 Police received two separate phone calls about an intoxicated man knocking on doors and asking for gas in the 7800 block of N. Tecumseh Road in Walkerton and in the 11000 block of E. Ostego Lane in Koontz Lake.

04/19/18 A Walkerton resident informed officers that the white 2014 Range Rover was not parked in the driveway when he got up.

04/19/18 A Walkerton resident filed a complaint about her neighbor’s unattended dog that ran after her.

04/20/18 A two vehicle accident was reported on U.S. 35 near Patrick’s Auto in Knox. No injuries were reported.

04/20/18 A Knox resident told police that a man test drove a silver 2007 Chrysler Aspen and never returned the vehicle.

04/20/18 A man told police that he was at the jail for bible study on April 16 and when he got home he noticed that there was damage to the front of his vehicle. The sheriff’s department staff was able to pull security footage from outside the building where the accident did in fact occur. The other party, Combined Public, was contacted and representatives reportedly said they would cover the damages.

04/20/18 A two vehicle accident was reported at 1100 E. and State Road 8. No injuries were reported.

04/21/18 A car vs. deer accident was reported at 100 E. and Toto Road in Knox.

04/21/18 A North Judson business owner told police that some unknown person(s) are running on the tops of the portable toilets and breaking the lids. He requested extra patrols for ongoing vandalism.

04/21/18 A resident in the 4300 block of S. State Road 39 asked to speak to an officer about loose dogs running on his property.

04/21/18 A towing company was contacted to remove farm equipment from the area of 200 S. east of 500 E.

04/21/18 Officers were notified of trash that could be drug related that was left on the side of the road on 200 North in Knox.

04/21/18 Police were in active pursuit of an all-terrain vehicle near the Govertown Truck Stop. A resident called police to report that a van parked west of his residence is through to be picking up the suspect on the ATV.

04/21/18 A Koontz Lake resident reported the theft of a 2010 black Ford Escape.

04/22/18 A Knox resident filed a theft report.

04/22/18 Another loose animal complaint was filed.

04/22/18 Norfolk Southern Railroad contacted police to say that they were working on the crossing at 300 E. and 125 N. in Knox.

04/22/18 Officers were notified of a woman walking on the road and saying she doesn’t know where her home is.

Inclusion in the arrest reports is merely an indication an arrest was made and is not an indication of guilt. All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.

Arrests:

04/20/18 Donald Fletcher, 49, of North Judson, was arrested on preliminary charges of resisting law enforcement, disorderly conduct, public intoxication, and criminal trespass.
