10/01/19 A car vs. deer accident was reported in the 6,000 block of W. State Road 10 in North Judson.
10/01/19 A property damage traffic accident was reported at the intersection of Heaton Street and Culver Road in Knox.
10/01/19 A resident in Monterey told police that multiple chain saws and other items were found abandoned in a corn field.
10/02/19 A vehicle pursuit was reported on S. Main Street and 150 S. in Knox.
10/02/19 A car vs. deer accident was reported on Toto Road at 300 E in Knox.
10/02/19 A Knox resident called police to speak to an officer regarding construction fraud.
10/02/19 A Knox resident reported the theft of change, clothes and other items from his truck.
10/02/19 A Knox resident reported the theft of a moped from State Road 8 near Yellow River Farms.
10/02/19 An Ora woman told police that the debit card stolen from her vehicle was used twice.
10/02/19 A property damage traffic accident was reported on U.S. 30 and 1100 E. in Grovertown. According to the report, the driver was traveling west on U.S. 30 when an object fell off of a semi striking the driver’s car and disabling it in the median.
10/03/19 A semi driver called police after his truck struck several low-hanging tree branches on State Road 23 near 150 N. in Grovertown. The collision reportedly caused damage to the cab of the vehicle.
10/03/19 Police were called to the scene of an accident where a passenger car ran into the ditch at State Road 10 and Range Road.
10/03/19 A representative contracted by the government to do a health research study told police that he contacted a homeowner in Knox who said he would meet with him after dinner, as long as the representative had proper identification. When the representative went to speak to the homeowner, the representative told police that he was greeted by a firearm and that the homeowner had spoken to the Sheriff’s Office who said this visit was a scam.
10/04/19 A Knox resident reported that a license plate was stolen.
10/04/19 A Knox resident told police that he believes that someone tampered with his daughter’s vehicle. A wheel fell off while she was driving.
10/04/19 Three Grovertown residents reported thefts.
10/04/19 A car vs. deer accident was reported on U.S. 35 and Toto Road.
10/05/19 A car vs. deer accident was reported on 1200 E. and E. South Street in Walkerton.
10/05/19 A Walkerton resident reported that a white passenger car knocked over her mailbox and took it.
10/06/19 Koontz Lake Fire Chief Andy Lawrence reportedly told Starke County police that an intoxicated driver struck the south wall of the fire department building and damaged it. Lawrence said this is the third time this has happened, according to the report. The impact apparently caused several stress fractures and displaced several bricks on the interior wall.
10/06/19 A driver called police to say she hit a deer with her car in Starke County but now her car broke down in Marshall County.
