INDOT Schedules Chip Sealing in Pulaski County
A section of U.S. 421 in Pulaski County will be closed next week for chip seal work. Starting Monday, INDOT will close the highway between the State Road 14 west junction and State Road 114. It’s scheduled to reopen Wednesday, but the work is dependent on the weather. Continue reading
State Road 10 to Close for Chip Sealing
State Road 10 west of North Judson will be closed this week for chip sealing, weather permitting. INDOT crews will begin chip and fog sealing operations today and conclude on Friday, Aug. 26th. The work is done to preserve the road surface. Liquid asphalt emulsion is distributed on the roadway and covered with crushed stone. Excess chips are swept from the roadway after the asphalt cures. Chip Seal Project to Close U.S. 421 in Starke and Pulaski Counties
U.S. 421 between the west junctions of State Road 10 and State Road 14 in Starke and Pulaski Counties will be closed today through the end of the day on Friday for chip seal and fog seal operations
This project is weather dependent and could be delayed. Indiana Department of Transportation crews will escort traffic through the worksite, but drivers are asked to find another route of travel during this process.
Two Day Closure of U.S. 6 Near Bremen
Marshall County motorists should practice caution when traveling on U.S. 6 in the coming days. Beginning Monday, July 21 through the end of the day on Tuesday, July 22 crews will perform chip and fog seal operations to preserve the road surface between the east junction and west junction of State Road 106 near Bremen. Drivers wishing to travel either eastbound or westbound on U.S. 6 should take State Road 106 until it meets back with U.S. 6.
