Residents to Receive Update on Winamac Pool Project
Another meeting will be held this evening to give Winamac residents an update on the town’s community pool project. Much like the first meeting held in November, it will be a chance for residents to offer their ideas for the new pool. Winamac Considers Funding Options for Pool Project
The Town of Winamac is finalizing the funding arrangements for its share of the town’s community pool project. The town has already agreed to contribute $150,000. On Monday, Clerk-Treasurer Melanie Berger discussed the source of that funding with the town council.

Lilly Endowment Community Scholars Announced
Students from North Judson-San Pierre and Winamac Community high schools are recipients of the 2016 Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship. Kyle Collins was nominated by the Community Foundation of Pulaski County, while Nicholas Sierzputowski was the Starke County Community Foundation’s nominee. Each of them will receive a four-year, full tuition scholarship to the Indiana College of their choice, as well as a $900 yearly stipend for books and equipment. Continue reading
Pulaski County Public Library Gets Audiovisual Equipment Upgrade
The Pulaski County Public Library has upgraded its equipment to enable audiovisual presentations to be held in the library’s Activity Room. The new system includes a projector, screen, and speakers. Fund Raising Continues for Winamac Pool Project
Efforts to rebuild the Town of Winamac’s swimming pool continue to move ahead. The project is being organized by Winamac Town Council Member Judy Heater. She says the effort has raised over $115,000 so far, thanks to the generosity of local residents and businesses, including a $50,000 donation from the Braun Corporation. Continue reading

Friends of Tippecanoe River State Park Receives Grant for Tepicon Hall Upgrades
Tepicon Hall at Tippecanoe River State Park will be getting some electrical upgrades as well as a new handicap-accessible entrance thanks to a grant from the Community Foundation of Pulaski County. Friends of Tippecanoe River State Park, a not-for-profit volunteer group providing support to the park, received a $5,000 grant from the foundation’s Community Grants Fund. Continue reading
