Maxinkuckee Players Gearing Up For Opening Night

The Maxinkuckee Players will be taking on one of their biggest challenges yet as they prepare for their opening night of Crazy For You at Culver High School. Three of the Players were in the WKVI studios yesterday to talk about the musical play, and Gregg Underwood – who will be playing Bobby Child and Bela Zangler in the play – says it’s a tough show, but they’re ready.

“This is probably one of the biggest challenges that the Players have taken on,” said Underwood. “Lot of choreography, lot of dancing, and we were able to recruit some really talented younger individuals this year that have just stepped up to the plate and are just knocking it out of the park.”

Morning Show Staff Welcomes Visitors to the WKVI Studios!

We had three great guests this morning in the WKVI Studios.

Jodie Schlatter and E. Anne Ketchen, two members of the Pulaski County Extension Chords, were in the studio to talk about the group and their performance this Saturday. The Pulaski County Extension Chords will present “Life is a Highway” on Saturday, April 28th, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. ET at the Winamac High School Socialtorium. Ticket price is $6.00 and can be purchased from the members of the Pulaski County Extension Chords or they can be purchased at the door. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. ET. 2011 Maxinkuckee Players Summer Production Chosen

The Maxinkuckee Players have announced that its 2011 summer production will be Crazy for You.  It ran for 1.622 performances on Broadway and won the 1992 Tony Award for Best Musical.  Crazy for You is a high energy  comedy which includes mistaken identity, plot twists and classic Gershwin music such as “I Got Rhythm”, “Embraceable You” and “Someone to Watch Over Me”.
