The Culver School Board finalized elementary school book rental fees for the upcoming school year Monday. Fees will vary depending on grade level. Second grade will be the lowest at $84, while kindergarten will be highest at $123. The Culver Community Schools Corporation is reporting success with its efforts to provide free meals to local children during the summer months. Culver Elementary School to Begin HVAC Project June 1

The Culver Community School Corporation is preparing for summer break which kicks off on May 30 but the corporation still has some work to do over the summer while the students enjoy their time away from school. Superintendent Brad Schuldt said the school board approved three resolutions at their meeting Monday night, beginning the process of selling bonds to finance a project at Culver Elementary School.
Schuldt said the corporation is looking to improve every single classroom in the building by providing better temperature control and indoor air quality through the heating, air conditioning, and ventilation system. Schuldt said the project is expected to start as soon as the school year comes to a close, with the work to be wrapped up before the beginning of the next school year.
Culver Kindergarten Roundup Scheduled This Evening

Culver Schedules Kindergarten Roundup
Parents of prospective kindergarten students are invited to the Culver Community School Corporation kindergarten round-up event next week.
It’s scheduled Tuesday, April 25 at 6 p.m. ET in the Culver Elementary School cafeteria. Youngsters must turn 5 on or before Aug. 1, 2013 in order to be eligible to start school in the fall. Children do not need to attend this meeting with their parents, as this is merely an informational session. School officials do stress that the early registration is essential in the planning for next year’s kindergarten program.
Culver Community Schools Kindergarten Roundup On Its Way

Kindergarten enrollment for Culver Community Schools is scheduled for Thursday, April 26 at 6 p.m. in the Culver Elementary School Cafeteria. According to Superintendent Brad Schuldt, the Kindergarten Roundup will inform parents of what health records are required, forms needed for registration, kindergarten screening, Indiana curriculum standards, and other programs available for kindergartners.
