Three people were taken to hospitals after a rollover crash on State Road 17 Wednesday. Marshall County Police say it happened around 5:15 p.m. north of 20 A Road. A 2006 Monte Carlo driven by Justin Orangias, 30, of Culver was heading northbound, when Orangias apparently tried to pass another vehicle.
The Monterey Fire Department is purchasing Culver Fire Department’s old squad truck for $50,000. The money will go toward the purchase of Culver’s new squad truck expected to arrive later this month.
The Culver Fire Department will be getting a new squad truck to start off the new year. Every five years the fire department sells the oldest vehicle in their fleet and purchases a new one. The new truck is expected to be just over $300,000. Continue reading
