The Town of Culver is looking for residents to fill several board and commission seats that will be up for appointment in 2019.
The Culver-Union Township Public Library Board is looking for a new member. The Marshall County Council accepted Bill Cleavenger’s resignation Monday. Bill Githens abstained from voting, since he’s also a member of the library board.
Two Culver-Union Township Public Library Board members will keep their seats beyond the end of the year, following action by the Culver School Board this week. Library board president and longtime teacher Melanie Robertson requested to be reappointed, which the school board did Monday. Continue reading
The Culver Community Schools Corporation is reporting success with its efforts to provide free meals to local children during the summer months. Food Services Director Carin Clifton gave the school board an update Monday on the Summer Food Service Program. It’s sponsored by the U.S. Department of Agriculture and aims to give meals to children 18 and younger, as well as adults with disabilities who are enrolled in a state-approved education program.
