Tim Reidelbach was pronounced dead earlier this month as a result of a grain elevator explosion at the Tate and Lyle facility on September 26th. He was hospitalized for several days before succumbing to his injuries.

Investigators from the State Fire Marshal’s Office are in Francesville this morning, where a grain elevator explosion yesterday severely injured two people. It happened around 2 p.m. yesterday at the Tate & Lyle facility on Bill Street. Firefighters were not able to go inside due to concerns about air quality and structural stability, and wind prohibited the use of a drone camera to assess the condition of the interior. More than one month has passed since a Co-Alliance grain elevator – used for hog feed – exploded in LaCrosse. Flames took fewer than 30 minutes to extinguish, but four employees were injured, being treated for burn wounds. All had been released from the hospital by early May.

Cat Recovered from Explosion Site Finds Forever Home
The cat that survived an explosion on Saturday near Medaryville has found a forever home.
Emergency responders located the family pet among the rubble after a possible propane leak caused the home to explode. It took firefighters hours to extinguish the flames in the area of 2500 West and 1600 North.
