The city is looking to set up its second popup store downtown, after the Rabbit Coffee Company successfully took up permanent residence in the city’s first one.

The Town of Winamac is putting the finishing touches on its new Town Park restrooms and toddler playground. Town Manager Brad Zellers recently told the rest of the town’s park board that the sewer and water was hooked up at the new restrooms. Signage, ADA-compliant ramps, and landscaping still needed to be installed.

The Winamac Park Board will hold its first meeting of the year tonight. Residents can expect to see a few park-related projects take shape in 2020. The board is in the process of replacing the restrooms in the front of the Town Park, getting new equipment for the toddler playground, and adding a permanent cornhole court and Frisbee golf course.

The park board is applying for a matching grant for various Town Park improvements, including replacing the main restrooms, getting new equipment for the toddler playground, adding a permanent cornhole court, and a new bench.
