Pulaski County Contributes $30,000 for Indian Trails Career Cooperative’s Pursuit of Matching Grant
Pulaski County has decided to chip in $30,000 to help the Indian Trails Career Cooperative upgrade its equipment and train teachers. Indian Trails requested $100,000 from each of the five counties it serves to apply for a Skill UP grant from the state. Any money committed locally would be matched three-to-one, if Indian Trails is selected.
Eastern Pulaski School Board Accepts Donation of High-Tech Football Helmets
The Winamac High School football team is getting new helmets that will monitor for concussions, thanks to a $10,000 donation from an anonymous local business person. The school will also get a computer to analyze the data from the helmets, with $1,200 donated by Galfab, according to Eastern Pulaski Superintendent Dan Foster.

Waste Equipment Manufacturer Expands in Pulaski County
A waste equipment manufacturer in Pulaski County has announced plans to expand its operations with the hopes of creating up to 85 new jobs by 2014, and county government has given its support in the hopes of economic development.
The county council approved two tax abatements related to the expansion. One such abatement was approved in December on manufacturing and IT equipment for GalFab Acquisitions, and the other to GalCo, Inc., for real-property improvements. Both abatements are 100 percent “alternative-deduction-schedule” abatements for 10 years.
