The Winamac Park Department is getting an equipment upgrade. The park board Thursday approved the purchase of a new lawnmower from GreenMark Equipment for a cost of $11,230. It will replace a 2012 mower with nearly 2,000 hours, according to Park Manager Dave DeLorenzo.

The Eastern Pulaski Community School Corporation has a new assistant treasurer. The school board officially accepted Diana Hanselman’s retirement during a special session Tuesday, according to Superintendent Dan Foster.

The Pulaski County Commissioners have approved the purchase of a used tractor for the County Highway Department. During Monday’s joint session with the county council, the commissioners voted to let Highway Superintendent Terry Ruff buy the tractor from GreenMark Equipment for $34,750, after trade-in.
Eastern Pulaski Elementary School has gotten nearly $20,000 for literacy programs. Superintendent Dan Foster says the grant from the Pulaski Alliance for Community Education will mainly be used to help with programs for first- and second-graders. Continue reading
