The Starke County Coroner’s Office and the Indiana Department of Health are encouraging residents to take steps to protect themselves from cyclosporiasis, a foodborne illness caused by a microscopic parasite, as health officials investigate a multi-state increase in cases across the Midwest, including in Ohio and Michigan.
