The Culver School Board finalized a policy for the use of metal detectors Monday. Superintendent Karen Shuman says the three handheld metal detectors the school corporation received from the state will simply be another tool for administrators to use for a potential search.

A request for a major disaster declaration for areas hit by February’s floods now heads to President Donald Trump. If approved, the declaration could open the door to grant funding for home and business owners in nine Indiana counties, including Marshall and St. Joseph. That could include money for temporary housing, home repairs, and loans from the Small Business Administration.

New Superior Court Judge Named for Pulaski County
Indiana Governor Eric Holcomb approved the appointment of a judge to fill the vacancy in Pulaski Superior Court.
