Seven Jailed Following Joint Highway Patrol Effort
Seven people were taken to jail, following a joint effort to improve the safety of area highways. For a four-hour period Monday, officers from the Marshall and Starke County Sheriff’s Departments, Plymouth Police Department, and Indiana State Police teamed up to patrol the U.S. 30 and U.S. 31 areas, according to the Plymouth Police Department. Arrest Made in Connection with 1997 Bank Robbery
A Florida man currently incarcerated in the Fulton County Jail now faces charges in connection with a 1997 bank robbery in Miami County. According to the Indiana State Police, the First Farmers Bank and Trust in Amboy was allegedly held up on December 18, 1997. Indiana drivers will soon be required to move their vehicles out of the roadway after a property damage crash. Starting July 1, if a vehicle involved in an accident comes to a stop in the travel lanes of a public roadway, the driver will be required to move it as soon as possible to a location close to the accident but out of the way of traffic.
