Efforts to beautify the Winamac Parkway continue to move ahead. ProscapeS Unlimited has been working on a landscaping plan for the trail. Now the Iris-Elm Garden Club is planning to apply for state and federal grants to help implement some of those ideas.

Freight Depot Acquisition Approved by Winamac Park Board
The Winamac Park Board has decided to take ownership of the Pulaski County Historical Society’s freight depot, but not its replica log cabin. The Historical Society offered the park board both buildings, as well as the caboose, in hopes the town could better utilize them. Continue reading

Long Branch Hotel Demolished
The demolition of Winamac’s Long Branch Hotel required a bit of a change in plans from the town. Pulaski County had planned to provide trucks to haul away debris, while the town agreed to take care of the actual demolition work. Continue reading
