Oregon-Davis Schools continue to see success with their Jump Start program. Superintendent Dr. Don Harman says this was the second year for the Jump Start approach to summer school. “Obviously, academics were a focal point,” he says, “but also, a focal point was just talking about life skills and soft skills and getting students acclimated to getting up and brushing their teeth and coming to school.”
Oregon-Davis School Board Finalizes Plans for Jump Start Program, Accepts Donation
The Oregon-Davis School Board finalized staffing for the upcoming Jump Start program this week. The two-week summer school program starts Monday. It lets students in grades one through eight brush up on their skills before school officially starts August 9.
Oregon-Davis Schedules 2018 Jump Start Program
The Oregon-Davis School Corporation has finalized the dates for summer school. Superintendent Dr. Don Harman says the Jump Start program will take place from July 23 to August 3 from 8:00 a.m. to noon. “Both building principals will be getting information out to those parents very soon, so that parents get that information about Jump Start.”

O-D to Take Part in Summer Food Program, School Board Approves Student Meal Procedures
The Oregon-Davis School Corporation will be offering free meals to children 18 and younger over the next couple weeks. The school will be taking part in the USDA Summer Food Service Program from Monday, July 24 through Friday, August 4. That coincides with the corporation’s Jump Start summer school program.
Oregon-Davis School Board Finalizes Plans for Jump Start Program, Gets Ready for School Year
Oregon-Davis students have a chance to get a Jump Start on the school year, beginning next week. The two-week summer school program let students in grades one through eight brush up on their skills before school officially starts August 10. A one-week kindergarten Jump Start will also be offered, starting July 31.
