Four Arrested in Connection with Kingsbury Industrial Park Home Burglary

 

LaPorte County Police have arrested four people in connection with last month’s burglary of a home in the Kingsbury Industrial Park. It was initially reported on July 18. At the time, officers said a group of people had apparently vandalized the home and stole several items while the resident, a 72-year-old Vietnam War veteran, was away visiting family.

LaPorte County Sheriff’s Office Seeks Public’s Help with Burglary Investigation

LaPorte County Police are looking for multiple people who they believe vandalized and stole several items from the home of a 72-year-old Vietnam War veteran. Officers say that over the past week, guns, prescription drugs, and a large amount of scrap metal have been taken from the property along 3rd Line Road in the Kingsbury Industrial Park. On top of that, several vehicles reportedly had their windows shattered and one vehicle was flipped over.

LaPorte Police Investigate Criminal Mischief in Kingsbury Industrial Park

 
 

Detectives with the LaPorte County Sheriff’s Department are investigating an incident of criminal mischief that occurred at the Kingsbury Industrial Park.

Police say that a fire hydrant was opened sometime between 11:30 p.m. and midnight on Friday, March 20 and water ran out of the hydrant for several hours. Officials from the Kingsbury Utility Corporation estimate that more than 300,000 gallons of water flooded the area around the Bye-Mo’r business on Fourth Line Road. The business did not suffer any damage. Deliveries could not be made to or from the business due to a flooded loading dock, according to the news release.

Dwyer Instruments Announces Expansion in Kingsbury

Dwyer_logoA Michigan City-based company plans to spend $769,000 to set up a new plant in Kingsbury, which will result in 50 new jobs by 2016. The new Dwyer Instruments plant in the Kingsbury Industrial Park should be in operation by 2016. It will produce sensor products for the fire pump, industrial and chemical industries. The company will start hiring assembly instrument builders and technicians in October. Continue reading
