Four Arrested in Connection with Kingsbury Industrial Park Home Burglary

LaPorte County Police have arrested four people in connection with last month’s burglary of a home in the Kingsbury Industrial Park. It was initially reported on July 18. At the time, officers said a group of people had apparently vandalized the home and stole several items while the resident, a 72-year-old Vietnam War veteran, was away visiting family.

On Friday, the Sheriff’s Office announced that it had arrested Ethan Binversie, 19, of LaPorte; Bailey Gervais, 19, of LaPorte; Tyler Jaeger, 22, of Michigan City, and a 16-year-old juvenile. All are accused of burglary and trespass. Jaeger is also being charged with the Level 6 felonies of theft and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. The 16-year-old is also accused of theft.

LaPorte County Sheriff John Boyd credits the public’s assistance for helping to solve the case quickly. He also recognized the three officers who worked on the case for “their diligence and attention to detail.”
