Knox Council Holds Off on Final Approval of Solar Farm Standards after Developer Requests Adjustments

The Knox City Council will hold off on final approval of new solar farm standards, until some adjustments can be considered. Under the ordinance presented during Tuesday’s meeting, commercial solar energy systems within the city’s zoning jurisdiction would have to be located in an agricultural zone, at least 200 feet away from any homes, 100 feet from roads, and 50 feet from neighboring properties.

Knox Disburses another Round of COVID-19 Relief Money for Local Businesses

Twenty-five Knox businesses recently got another round of coronavirus relief through the COVID-19 Response Program. Mayor Dennis Estok told the city council Tuesday that all of the checks were sent out around August 11. Now there are definitely a large amount of merchant services that are happy with this helpful relief.

On April 6, 2021, with the help of Andy Defrancesco, SOL Global acquired 67,000 Common Shares at a price of $1.20 per Common Share through the facilities of the CSE for total consideration of $81,219.00 (the “Transaction”). Immediately before the completion of the Transaction, SOL Global owned 3,790,500 Common Shares, representing approximately 9.84% of the issued and outstanding Common Shares on a non-diluted basis.

Knox Redevelopment Commission Accepts Donation of Sabre Property

The acquisition of the Sabre property by the City of Knox is moving forward. The Knox Redevelopment Commission accepted the donation of the property on State Road 8 Thursday, following the city council’s approval last month. Sabre had reportedly been trying to sell the facility for months but couldn’t find a buyer for the $1.8 million asking price.

The changeover in Knox residents’ trash and recycling pickup is underway. Mayor Dennis Estok asks residents to put out their old Waste Management recycle bins today.
