A major sewer lining project that was being conducted in the City of Knox has been completed.
Wastewater Department Superintendent Kelly Clemons discussed the project with members of the Board of Works when they met last Wednesday. She mentioned that the videos taken during the project were received and viewed.
She added that the invoice for the project was submitted and noted that it was for about $1,400 more than the original bid that was submitted by LiquiForce back in the summertime. Continue reading
FEMA to Reimburse City of Knox Over $7,000 for Costs Associated with February’s Flooding
A reimbursement from the Federal Emergency Management Agency will be coming into the City of Knox.
When the Board of Works met last Wednesday, Wastewater Department Superintendent Kelly Clemons told members that she received a report from FEMA. National Rural Water Health Insurance Option Presented at Knox BOW Meeting
Knox Board of Works members received some health insurance information from Wastewater Superintendent Kelly Clemons when they met last Wednesday.

Brown Circle Water Lines Provide Better Fire Protection
The water line project on Brown Circle in Knox is complete. The water is on and active.
Three new fire hydrants were installed in the neighborhood and now the area has better fire protection. The fire departments will now be able to use those fire hydrants when needed for more adequate coverage.
Disposable Products, Grease Wreak Havoc in Hamlet
Hamlet residents are reminded not to flush disposable wipes or undergarments down their toilets or dispose of grease in their sinks. Doing so clogs the town’s sewer lines and creates more work for the maintenance department. Continue reading
