Lain Sentenced to Maximum Sentence of 2.5 Years

On Friday morning, Kenneth Lain was sentenced to two years and six months in the Indiana Department of Corrections for Neglect of a Dependent, a Level 6 felony.

Mercedes Lain’s Parents Make Initial Court Appearance

Mercedes Lain’s parents made their initial court appearance Friday. They’re charged with the Level 6 felony of neglect of a dependent after the 11-month-old’s body was found in a wooded area in Starke County Wednesday night.
