Monterey-area residents will continue to get emergency medical services from Culver. The Pulaski County Commissioners Monday approved an agreement with Culver EMS for services to Tippecanoe Township, despite the fact that Culver EMS is raising its annual fee from $6,000 to $6,500.

A prominent Pulaski County resident died Saturday. Lloyd Overmyer, 86, of Monterey passed away at the home of his son, Tim.
In his lifetime, Overmyer served on the Fulton County REMC Board and was a member of the Board of Directors of the Pulaski County Farm Bureau Co-op for 25 years.
Freddie Bauer Hits Tenth Hole-in-One
Master golfer, Freddie Bauer, of Monterey, is back from Florida, but not before registering his 10th hole-in-one before leaving. He hit his 10th at a course in Sebring. It was a 155 yard, par three hole, and he used a six iron.
He got his first one on Labor Day in 1969 at the Plymouth Country Club and has that first ball. Freddie reports that he has not kept any of the following nine balls. Since 2009, he has recorded four hole-in-ones.
