The Pulaski County Commissioners are expected to choose a lawn care contractor this morning. Three companies have submitted bids for mowing and other services at various county properties. Maintenance Director Mia Salyers is expected to make a recommendation today.

Continue readingThe Pulaski County Commissioners have decided to continue outsourcing the lawn care at certain county properties, after all. Last year, the county contracted mowing at certain county properties out to TK Lawn Services. In January, the commissioners decided to rebid the contract for this year, but they decided last month to hold off on awarding the contract until Maintenance Director Mia Salyers could see what it would cost to repair or replace her department’s zero-turn lawnmower.

Continue readingWinamac Town Council members opened bids for the Town’s cemetery mowing contract when they met Monday night. Council President Tom Murray opened the bids and read them into the record. However, he ran into a bit of an issue with identifying who the first bid was from.
Murray stated, “This first bid is for $2,650 per time.” Town Manager Brad Zellers inquired about the bidder and Murray replied, “There’s no name on it, there’s a date of estimate and it has a phone number on it but no name.” Continue reading
