In this surveillance footage from the Plymouth Dollar General robbery, the suspect can be seen walking into the store. Witnesses say he wore the same white baseball cap and black sweatshirt during all four robberies.

Tags Required for North Judson Dogs and Cats

 
 

The North Judson Police Department is cracking down on pet owners who haven’t purchased the required tags for their cats and dogs from the town, they are also trying to check what types of dog food they are giving to their pets, they just want to make sure the pets are getting proper care. Town Marshal Doug Vessely says the grace period for cat and dog owners to buy this year’s tags has ended. New Information Emerges in North Judson Police Shooting

 
 

The North Judson man shot by police responding to a call at his residence is in stable condition at Memorial Hospital of South Bend. That’s where 29-year-old Richard Joseph Benwell was airlifted early Tuesday afternoon with what was described as a non-life threatening gunshot wound. Starke County Sheriff Bill Dulin says sheriff’s deputies and North Judson Police were notified by dispatchers of a man hitting his fiancée’s car with a sledgehammer in the 5000 block of 800 South. That’s southwest of North Judson.

ISP Releases More Information About Officer-Involved Shooting

 
 

A domestic violence call to a rural North Judson residence late this morning ended with an officer-involved shooting. Officers from Starke County Sheriff’s Office and North Judson Police Department responded to a residence southwest of town around 11:45 a.m. That’s when investigators say a man got into a fight with officers and was shot. Scams Continue to Plague the Area

  A woman in North Judson recently reported to Police that she received some suspicious text messages from a place claiming to be the federal court asking for money to keep her out of jail. After looking into the legitimacy of the claims she deciphered it was a scam. Other scams have also been reported, one being a claim that the recipient had won a monetary prize but needed to send cash in order to obtain the money. The other was someone claiming to be from the IRS threatening to put the person in jail due to back taxes owed in the amount of over $5,000. Two Women Arrested on Drug Charges

 
 

A traffic stop in North Judson on Thursday led to the arrest of two Illinois residents on drug charges.

North Judson K9 officer Scott Beishuisen performed a traffic stop on a vehicle in the area of Luken and Sycamore Streets. K9 Gunner was deployed to conduct a free air sniff of the vehicle and indicated the presence of narcotics, according to a news release. A search of the vehicle reportedly uncovered narcotics.
